Heath Ledger and Lily ColeHeath Ledger‘s final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in France on May 22nd. Ledger died at his home during a break from filming. The movie wasn’t yet finished, so three actors stepped in to help — Johnny DeppColin Farrell and Jude Law, all filling in as Tony, the same character that Ledger played. The fantasy film follows Dr. Parnassus (Christopher Plummer), the leader of a traveling theater group who long ago made a bet with the devil and won immortality. But when he makes another deal involving marrying off his first-born daughter when she turns 16, he regrets it as she approaches that age and tries to renegotiate.

  5. Nancy • May 15, 2009 @ 5:39 PM

I was never on “the bandwagon”, Max.

    Here kitty kitty…LMFAO!

  6. tributegirl • May 15, 2009 @ 5:40 PM

    Oh nice, Max is back.
I agree, ke, I would go see this as well.

    Dang it
we have to hear nancy’s none sense comments over and over and over and over…….and over
    again
my only god help us when this non sense of hers wil end

  10. Nancy • May 16, 2009 @ 12:37 PM

Hahaha….it won’t EVER end! You should get some parts and try using the usual Tribute name you normally use and stop purposefully misspelling words so that people can’t tell who you are. Better yet, Tribute should put the name you normally use on here, on the above comment…let’s see who you really are you two faced little sh!t. How about it Alexandra? Let’s see who’s playing the games on this site.

  11. tributegirl • May 16, 2009 @ 2:30 PM

Yeah, that’s a good idea, if they could find out who it is and put their usual name on. I wonder why, when things have been peaceful, people like that like to come on here and try to get something going again? And I’m sure you’ve noticed, Nancy, they always start with you! Magnet! 😉

  12. Jo-Anne • May 16, 2009 @ 4:33 PM

don’t you worry, Nancy, I’ve had that event circled on my calendar for months!!!

only remaining question is…do I go with the “Single is Awesome” t-shirt or trucker cap?

last time I checked the registry at The Bay those two items were still on the list along with the other 800 “Single is Awesome” items you requested…

  13. Willthemovieguru • May 16, 2009 @ 5:04 PM

Whats wrong people u dont know enough about movies to actually talk about them u got to argue and crap…grow up man arent u guys like 40 or whatever. Anyways anything new Terry Gilliam does is worth the hype 12 mokeys and Brazil were great films, and were well made……plus the guys like Terrence Malik, he only makes a movie every 10 years so the hypes is crazy over there next films. plus Johnny depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law all playing the same character….plus its Heaths last film so its a must see in my eyes.

  14. Nancy • May 16, 2009 @ 6:11 PM

I’m more woman than you’ll ever be, Jo-Anne. You really like to keep bringing up my “singleness”. Hmmm…jealous much…because what, you have no freedom? Hahaha. Glorious freedom….to do whatever with whomever I wish. Yes, it is totally awesome. And believe me when I say, that I am most certainly not jealous because you have a husband. I mean, I could just go down to the nearest corner tavern and get one of those, LMFAO!

    Willthemovieguru….what are “12 mokeys”? 😛

  15. Jo-Anne • May 16, 2009 @ 6:48 PM

I was merely replying to YOUR post…
    let me refresh your memory….

“Anon/Gina & Tributegirl, Ive said it many times before, single is AWESOME!!”

why brag about it (repeatedly) if not for the sole purpose of inviting other’s comments…

  16. Nancy • May 16, 2009 @ 6:55 PM

Then go reply to my post WHERE it was posted! I never said anything to you sh!t diturber, so why are you starting “if not for the sole purpose of inviting” MY comments…? Anon/Gina and Tributegirl spoke of not getting any action in their lives…so what, so I said “single is awesome”…it is!

  17. Willthemovieguru • May 16, 2009 @ 10:07 PM

yeah oops u know what i mean…..moNkeys that better….So do u guys actually have anything to say about the movie or is this site becoming the new Facebook or something…lmao

  18. Max Powers • May 16, 2009 @ 11:02 PM

Yes TributteGirl Max is back, I know you value my comments, it’s sad that ppl thing this is a good concept for a movie, making a deal with the devil, realy, I mean REALY Hollywood deal with the devil…..I like it better when it was called “Bedazzed” and I liked that better when it was called “Oh god you devil” and instead of a traveling theater group it was a rock star and a lonly office worker.. I mean REALY.. Nancy don’t forget to get some cat-sitters so you can go see this crap-tapuler movie when it comes out.

  19. Nancy • May 17, 2009 @ 11:48 AM

I knew what you meant, Willthemovieguru….and neither this nor ANY other Heath Ledger movie interests me AT ALL. Actually, I have nothing against Heath…not my kind of movies that’s all but, I have to say this…and I know I’ll get some flack from his die hard fans on here but, I thank God that this is his last film. I mean, he’s been dead for over a year. Just get the movies out and get the awards for the movies over with and then let the guy rest already!!

  20. Willthemovieguru • May 17, 2009 @ 5:16 PM

Well i agree with u there just let the guy die already but the last time Heath Ledger and Terry Gilliam teamed up in The Brothers Grimm, was pretty awesome visually and any other way…i know alot of people didnt like this movie but the cinematography was to amazing to not. Plus im a huge fan of Fear and loathing in Las Vegas of course (one of Johnny Depps best performances arguably)and Terrys last movie Tideland was another visually amazing movie with an interesting story…and a good performances from Jeff Bridges and Jennifer Tilly. any of these movies interest u than Nancy lol

  21. Nancy • May 17, 2009 @ 6:23 PM

    Nope. LOL.

  22. Nancy • May 18, 2009 @ 1:33 PM

Re-read my comments, Max….and perhaps get off the dope for 5 seconds, long enough to allow your brain to realize perhaps who said what comment…because I have NEVER said that I would go see this movie, did I? In fact, I believe I stated the exact opposite.

  23. Willthemovieguru • May 18, 2009 @ 5:38 PM

This Max guy liked Bedazzled…thats a joke LOL that movie was a peice of garbage..Dr.Parnassus is going to be ten times better mark my words on that. Harold Ramis really lost it on that movie and chock up another terrible movie for Brendan Fraser. lmao

  24. Willthemovieguru • May 18, 2009 @ 5:42 PM

Lets hope Harold Ramis is back in shape with Year One.. and hummm a Harold Ramis movie or a Terry Gilliam movie which would u choose judging by quality of movie these directors both put out…..well who would u choose.

  25. lily • May 20, 2009 @ 4:37 PM

Harold Ramis has been freaking HILLARIOUS and I’d watch anything he directs/writes. but i don’t usually get Terry Gilliam at all. You sound pretty well informed Willetc. so maybe I should try watching one again. Which one do you think is least weird (and I don’t mean it insultingly at all…I just REALLY don’t get him).

  26. Crystal • May 25, 2009 @ 1:44 AM

try the fisher king lily, it is an excellent movie, i watched it for the first time about a month ago and i was quite surprised that i liked it, It reminds me abit of One Hour Photo (being as Robin Williams plays a serious role). some people just enjoy different types of movies, let me also give you a heads up, if you dont like/understand Terry Gilliams movies I would definitely suggest staying as far away as possible from Todd Solondz movies, you definitely wont understand/like the concepts of them… just a warning
