How to Train Your Dragon 3 blazes out all competition again

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden WorldHolding onto the box office crown is How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World which came in first place for the second weekend in a row. The fiery film has earned an additional $30 million this weekend for an impressive total of $97.7 million.

Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral debuted in second place this weekend. The film which stars Tyler Perry as Madea, finds Madea and her clan attending an unexpected funeral. The 11th and final film in the Madea franchise earned $27.1 million at the weekend box office.

Alita: Battle Angel holds on to a spot in the top five landing in third place. The film starring Rosa Salazar as a cyborg earned an additional $7 million in its third weekend, for a total of $72.2 million.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part bumped down a spot to fourth place in its fourth weekend. The film voice starring Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks has earned an additional $6.6 million for a total of $91.7 million.

Rounding out the top five is the Oscar-winner Green Book which made its way back into the top five following its Academy award. The film starring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen earned $4.7 million this weekend for a total of $75.9 million. ~Emily Chavez
