Is Leonardo DiCaprio the Best Actor Oscar winner?

Chaos ensued on the Internet yesterday when a CNN segment on how Academy Award trophies are made showed a plate reading actor Leonardo DiCaprio‘s name followed by “Best Performance By An Actor In A Leading Role.” A Twitter user posted a photo of the so-called spoiler online, and some websites even published stories about it, which caused quite a stir. However, this spoiler is no spoiler at all because the manufacturer of the trophy, R.S. Owens, revealed that it makes a nameplate for each nominee prior to the live show. R.S. Owens, a Chicago-based factory, has been making the prestigious statuettes for the last 30 years. There’s more proof that the photo of the plate didn’t spoil the Oscars: the voting deadline for the Academy Awards is February 25, which makes it impossible for a winner to have already been chosen. Leonardo DiCaprio is nominated for his performance in The Wolf of Wall Street, alongside fellow actors Christian Bale, Bruce Dern, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Matthew McConaughey. Although this year’s Academy Awards may seem pretty predictable, you can never count out surprises. We’ve compiled a list of who will win and who should win.
he should definitely win. he gives an absolutely amazing performance. you should see this movie, just to watch the performance. but be aware there is sex/rough language/much swearing. an adult film

MM gives a career defining performance in DBC but Leo gives an absolute performance of the ages. IMO, it’s perhaps one of the three best performances of all time. I know he won’t won, but he should.
