Jackson kids’ stun gun confiscated

By Alexandra Heilbron on March 3, 2010 | 13 Comments

jafaar_jacksonThe L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services visited the Jackson family compound in Encino, California on Monday night because it was reported that a 13-year-old boy had a stun gun and was using it on Michael Jackson‘s kids. According to TMZ.com, it was Jermaine Jackson’s son Jaafar (pictured at left) who bought the gun online. Sources to the gossip site said Jermaine’s kids were using the gun on the second floor of the house. Security guards heard the noise and wondered what the sound was. One of them went upstairs and “stopped Jermaine’s kids from stunning Blanket.” Some employees say the gun was also used to threaten Paris. The guard confiscated the gun and Katherine, their grandmother, locked it up, but DCFS removed it during their visit. Sources say the kids have a second stun gun that DCFS did not recover, but they are going back to the house for further investigation. Yesterday, Child Services visited the house to interview the family and employees. Stun guns are not illegal in California, but it is illegal to sell one to a minor. ~Alexandra Heilbron

It’s Lord of the Flies over at that house.

    Lol nice connection ^
This article is kind of disturbing. One kid “threatening” another, and they’re how old?! I remember when I was young, the only thing we had to threaten each other with was a wooden spoon. Sadly, kids seem to have progressed onto more direct tactics.

Blanket is probably the youngest and is being picked on by the older cousins. I hope Katherine has a serious talk with Jermaine, so that he can make sure his kids are not bullying their cousins. This is sad. If Michael was alive they would have never dared.

I’d pick on a kid if their name was Blanket. What a mean thing to name a kid.

On the other hand, WTF? How did the kid buy something online without access to a credit card or parental consent? And if he did have access to a credit card, then double WTF!

    Rich kids. I swear.

When I was a kid, the thing we threatened other kids with, was how old/big our dad or siblings are. The classic, my dad’s bigger than your dad!

Hey HBhannahbrown…if you’d listened to the news or read any other articles you would know that the kid’s real name isn’t Blanket, thus he wasn’t named that by his dad. He was called Blanket by the media because of the whole blanket over his head thing when he was a baby. His name is Prince Michael II. Great to know you’re one of those persons who would pick on a kid though..that’s awesome. (I hope you can at least recognize the sarcasm there)

Why did only security hear the noise and wonder what was going on? Where were any of the parents? A “second” stun gun? None of the parents or guardians knew the possessed not one but two stun guns to “play” with??? Children’s Services need to find out why none of these children are being more closely watched. Sounds like they’re mostly left on their own to do as they please and any parenting or supervision is being left up to Security. Sad household, or “family” scenario.

it doesn’t matter if they are kids in the limelight or the basic normal kids you have at home kids are kids and especially boys will be boys give them the toy they will play with them and re-enact what they see on tv no matter the age race background etc.. kids are influenced by their environment im not a perfect mom but i do see my 3 boys fighting and re-enacting what they watch on occasions this includes playing police/gi joe etc.. hense guns and stun guns. I would never allow my kids with actual guns/or tasers in the house, however you cannot WATCH every moment of the day everything all the kids do. Cooking cleaning changing diapers etc.. does come into play so yes sometimes your back is turned and you find out your middle child spraypainted an art work on the leather couch or your oldest wanted to heat up a pizza and put everything in the microwave for 10 minutes which started a fire.
No matter who the kids are the issue is not who they are or why there wasn’t someone with them at that given moment the issue is really the irresponsability of the parents who allowed a pre teen to get full access to stun gun!!!!

First off, I’d like to comment about why it seems that security was the only ones who heard the stun gun. well maybe they were the closest to it. I have 3 boys and they dont need to be watched every second of the day. they do entertain themselves for a while, so i can get other things done. so in my humble opinion, even though a stun gun is not by any means an appropriate toy, boys will be boys. I’ll lay bets if Katherine heard this before security did she would have done the same thing anyways. She’s raised how many kids? She would know. And yes Blanket isnt his real name. I thought everyone knew that!

These children don’t stand a chance in he** of having normal lives unless they can get far, far away from this crazy family!!!

The biggest problem is that there’s too many kids in that house. First of all, the biggest problem is that Katherine & Joe have too much leeway in a House that in reality isn’t even theirs. It’s Michael’s. Remember the House almost went up for Sale when LaToya didn’t pay her share.

Another thing too is. Jermaine has never “Emotionally” Separated himself from his Family. He’s never lived alone. He went from living with his first wife Hazel, to his “Mistress” & Second Wife Margaret in the Compound, to his Third Wife who was also married to Randy (Ugh!) and now he’s converted to Islam and is now married to another woman but he’s never learned to be independent. Where are the Mothers of these children? Are they too afraid to say anything because they’d get kicked out of the Compound?

I’m sorry but the other kids are resentful of Blanket because they know that it’s Blanket’s Daddy’s Money that’s allowing them to continue to live in the House. If Michael were still alive, he should have told the Brothers to find other living arrangements, that “Mother” and Joseph are too old to be Parents all over again. I wish Prince & Paris had words with the other “Kids”, they need to be reminded that were it not for Uncle Michael, they’d have two of nothing.
