Janet Jackson named Grinch of the Year

By Alexandra Heilbron on December 29, 2011 | 11 Comments

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) teamed up with World Entertainment News Network to form a list of the most animal-unfriendly celebrities of the year. Topping the list of Celebrity Grinches of 2011 was Janet Jackson, who designed a collection for fur fashion company Blackglama. PETA says: “When Janet Jackson had her infamous wardrobe malfunction during Super Bowl XXXVIII, at least the flesh that popped into view was her own, unlike the stolen animal skins she drapes herself in, which are as dead as her fashion taste (not to mention her career). Ms. Jackson, you’re just plain nasty.” Also in their bottom three was filmmaker Cameron Crowe, who used trained animals for his new movie, We Bought a Zoo. PETA says that “actors” within the performing-animal industry are routinely neglected and even abused, and suggested he should have used state-of-the-art computer imaging. They wrote: “Exploiting live animals to tell a story about saving animals?” Kim Kardashian was also included, with PETA explaining: “Unlike her sweet sister Khloe, who starred in her own PETA anti-fur ad, Kim just can’t seem to divorce herself from fur and say “I do” to a kind and kompassionate wardrobe.”

    LOL The animals on the set of “We bought a Zoo” were treated better than most humans get treated on a daily basis. People and animals are suffering massively around the globe, but we should jump on Cameron Crow for making then work for a living. Holy God i cant help but laugh. I love animals too but i mean comon…

    This is what I think about PETA. They are full of it and if they are so concerned about the treatment of animals, why didn’t they take these animals themselves instead of euthanising them.

    “But now Peta – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – is itself on the receiving end of angry words over its own treatment of animals after it emerged that the organisation put down 96 per cent of the animals handed into its American headquarters. Of 2,216 animals taken to its premises in Norfolk, Virginia, last year, 2,124 were put to sleep – almost six per day. Homes were found for just seven.

    The high-profile charity, famous for its “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” campaigns, has euthanised more than 20,000 pets in the last decade, according to figures it has supplied to Virginia state officials.”

    How about we focus on poverty, famine, and the ethical treatment of humans who can’t meet basic needs of life first? I’ll gladyly kill an animal to feed a family because my priorities are in order. But nice to know the animals in Hollywood are being spoken for…I can sleep soundly tonight!

    Its not necessary for an animal to die in order to wear fur, its only fair to live and let live…

    They should go after the equestrian riders, and hate on their own ancestors for riding horses and forcing them to pull weight to farm food, and build bridges, roads and train tracks, and killing pigs and sheep, and cows, and using their hides and fur to keep their kids warm to last through the cold harsh winters so that they could grow up to form PETA.

    If PETA decided to verbally attack me IF I were a star I would wear fur daily. Gets me in the news. Personally believe there are more important things to worry about than whether someone treats a chicken nicely before it heads to the slaughter house to be my dinner that night. Want to know why food has increased so much lately? The chicken plants have to hire people to make sure that the workers show respect and kindness to the chickens before they get to the processing plant. NOT KIDDING.

    If as much energy was spent caring for the homeless and less priviledged as PETA utilizes on animals. There would be less homeless people.

    You know what PETA I get it. You are a b****y little organization who attacks people for use animals in their movies and wearing fur and animal skin. I get the later part of it. Fur is not good and I would go after that too.

    But, going after people who use live animals in movies while you put 2000+ animals to sleep is WRONG! You should be ashamed you f*****g a******s! Animals should go to sleep if their IN PAIN and have a disease that is horrible to them, not because you dont feel like giving them a home.

    And also, your little adds about being a vegetarian and not wearing fur are distasteful. Noone wants to see some celebrity with no clothes on or see your stupid banned super bowl ad that says “vegetariens have better sex.”

    F**k off PETA and just let people have wonderful animals in their movies and eat meat. Without meat or meat based products, you dont get alot of protein. Yes, if you decide to go veg, I wont pester you about it. But Im gonna eat meat and watch movies with real animals in it and put down my dog when its ready to go to that wonderful place in the sky.

    So finally, my point is, PETA, you can go all Bald Britney when people wear fur, but if I hear you put down over 2000 animals again, I am not gonna be happy. Understood?

    PETA = Terrorist Corporation

    Yes I said it, they are a corporation who uses terrorist tactics in order to spread there propaganda and trick people into making them rich. They don’t care about animals, it’s just an ends to a means and that is money. Why do they need a multi-million dollar head office in trendy California? Why do they spend millions on advertising? They use donated money to travel the world and harass the worlds top designers. They are evil, they are the wolf hiding in the sheep clothing getting good intending people to give there hard earned money to them. A balanced diet is the best diet not vegan! Veganism is for people with medical issues to eating meat or wussy cry babies who have serious emotional attachment issues to little animals. Stop the EVIL, Stop donating to PETA!!!!!
