Jason Bateman shuts down gay porn site

Jason Bateman wasn’t too pleased when his fans reported finding that a site with the URL JasonBateman.com directed followers to an X-rated gay porn site. Bateman immediately took swift legal action and the site has been taken offline. During an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, he explained, “Uh, we sicced some lawyers on that. It was worse, it wasn’t even that it was a gay porn website, it was a gay porn web hub. From here you can go to thousands of gay porn sites!” Fallon exclaimed “Really?!” Bateman joked, “Don’t act like you don’t know.” Bateman is married to actress Amanda Anka (Paul Anka’s daughter) and they have a four-year-old daughter, Francesca.

We chatted with Laura Linney, Jason Bateman and Julia Garner in Los Angeles to discuss the second season of their Netflix show Ozark, which premieres August 31.
i can understand not wanting it associated with your name, but perhaps the creator has the same name as jason? either way, theres nothing wrong with “gay porn” everyone has a right to watch what they choose.
It is even more important for someone to have the right to protect themselves and their name. Any website illegally using someone’s name should be shut down. This has nothing to do with sexual orientation other the media twisting the title to give a shocking meaning.

thomas, thats what im saying, maybe the person that created the site ALSO has the name “jason bateman” its not uncommon for more than one person in the world to have the same first and last name. maybe it wasnt someone trying to be a jerk, which is what i was implying.

Mandee, the wonderful things about words is that when used correctly, they speak for themselves leaving the whole “implying” thing wayside. The article states that lawyers were involved which would stand to reason that the site would still be operating if the creator’s name was in fact Jason Bateman but alas it was terminated leading one to believe that someone(s) were using a celebrity for profit while ruining said celebrity’s reputation. It was a jerk.
dont act like im retarded, celebs have legally fought others because their name was the same as theirs before, if the operators name was jason bateman the law may still be on this jasons side because HE is the one that can pay the lawyers and all the court costs, while the other one may just be some regular guy who cant afford to fight for his own rights. dont assume that you know everything about an article because you read it and perceived it differently than someone else did.
