Jennifer Connelly and Paul BettanyJennifer Connelly has admitted her husband Paul Bettany won over her heart by playing her a song on guitar.

The 44-year-old actress met her spouse, 44, almost 15 years ago when they starred alongside one another in A Beautiful Mind but, although there was an instant chemistry, the brunette beauty believes it wasn’t until she saw the actor’s musical talent that she was really won over by him.

She told Entertainment Tonight: ”I remember meeting him at the first read through. I thought, ‘Hmm, he’s really good, that guy.’ He started playing guitar and it was all over.”

And the feeling was mutual for Paul as he was in awe of her beauty when he first laid eyes on her on set of the movie.

He explained with a smirk: ”I’ve never been this close to someone that beautiful before. I remember thinking, ‘I bet every man you ever met has tried to flirt with you.’ ”

The couple, who have children Stellan, 12, and Agnes, four, together, struck up a relationship once filming had wrapped up in 2001 and they married shortly afterwards in 2003.

Jennifer, who has 18-year-old son Kai from a previous relationship, and Paul also starred opposite one another in 2009’s Creation but their new project Shelter marks the first time the hunk has stepped behind the camera.

And although Jennifer found it weird taking orders from her spouse, she has admitted she would ”absolutely” do it again.
