Jennifer Lawrence is on fire. First, her new movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been number one at the box office for two weeks in a row, and now she has won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actress for her upcoming movie American Hustle. The film, which took home three awards, including Best Screenplay and Best Picture, is a fictional retelling of the FBI Abscam Operation in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner, it is suspected the film is a frontrunner for the Oscars. Other award winners include: Cate Blanchett – Best Actress for Blue Jasmine, Robert Redford – Best Actor for All is Lost, Steve McQueen – Best Director for 12 Years a Slave, Jared Leto – Best Supporting Actor for Dallas Buyers Club and Blue is the Warmest Color for Best Foreign Film. ~Brie Davis
