Jennifer Lawrence won’t take photos with fans because she’s ‘really rude’

Jennifer Lawrence says she will no longer take selfies with fans. During an interview with Australia’s Daily Telegraph, she said it makes her uncomfortable when strangers think they know her because they’ve seen her in a movie.
“”I have just started becoming really rude and drawn into myself. I think that people [strangers] think that we already are friends because I am famous and they feel like they already know me – but I don’t know them,” she explained. “I have to protect my bubble, like, ‘I have a weird job – don’t let this be a reality,” she added.
In case you feel slighted — don’t be — she won’t even take selfies with her Passengers co-star, Chris Pratt. Here are some examples of hilarious selfies he took with her (below).
He was just kidding — even cutting her out of this photo (at left below) with Spanish YouTubers El Rubius and Mangels (who later posted photos of Jen with them on their social media). Below on the right hand side, at first glance, he seems to finally provide a photo of Jen, with the caption “As promised. My best buddy #jenniferlawrence Sorry for messing with you guys before.”

Get over yourself. It’s part of being a star. Reminds one of Justin Beiber and other stars who have decided to not let fans take photos. It’s part of the game. She has now become someone who I shall probably not watch any more. Can’t stand it when stars feel they should be above others
Cool. Your life, your experience. She’s still a great actor and has a great personality in press tours – which is all that really matters. I wouldn’t take photos with someone I didn’t know, even if they knew of me. It’s a bizzare thing. You dig it -cool. If not -cool. If someone is actually a fan, they would respect it. People feel too entitled to document every waking moment even if it ruins the experience of others…It’s her life too. Like all these cell phones at concerts…you pay to see a band/group/artist and all you see is a sea of arms and phones…Stop seeking so much validation on social media and just enjoy the experience. #soEXTRA
I understand how she feels. She didn’t lose the right to say “no” when she became famous. I’ve thought for a long time there should be more rules regarding this sort of thing. I could never understand celebrities. You want to be famous but you don’t want the attention that goes with it. You’re in the wrong business. Get over yourself – and take the Kardashians with you please.
A celebrity has the right to say no to a selfie with someone. Doesn’t make them a snob. Jennifer Lawrence is perfectly in her right if she doesn’t want to do something that makes her uncomfortable. There are some weird people out there
It’s the way she words herself doesn’t sound good and makes herself look above us. If it wasn’t for US going to her movies she wouldn’t be anything. I’m not a fan of her acting anyway.
She use to say her job was useless compared to people that go out and save lives. What if one of those people wanted to take a selfie with her.
I don’t get people calling her out on this. Just because we pay to see her movies doesn’t mean we own her. I don’t make my doctor take pictures with me. When I bought my last car I didn’t force a selfie with the dealer. Why people feel entitled to selfies with celebrities is beyond me.
