Jennifer Lopez joins celebs taking ALS ice bucket challenge

The ALS Association is creating social media buzz with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge which raises funds for Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez (pictured left), Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Pratt, Nathan Fillion and Steven Spielberg are taking part by accepting a challenge to be filmed while ice cold water from a bucket is dumped on their heads. Each challenger then passes on the challenge to other people to be done within 24 hours.

Celebrities are putting their own spins on the challenge such as Nina Dobrev who, after being doused with the ice and cold water, proceeded to jump off a boat into a rather larger body of water. Oprah Winfrey let her best friend Gayle King do the honor of dumping the freezing water on the actress. Oprah Instagram ALS Ice Challenge

Perhaps the cutest video is of Ben Stiller and his wife, who let their two children dump the water on them. The point is to encourage donations to help those with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). As of today over $10 million has been raised for ALS since the campaign started last month.

The challenge has been accepted by other celebrities in sports, television (participants already include Stephen Amell and John Barrowman), movies and throughout the arts and entertainment field. Many are using social media such as Twitter, YouTube and their Instagrams to post videos. It’s a good thing this summer’s been a hot one! ~Andrea Hodgins

My husband who had been diagnosed with Bulbar ALS disease for 2 years at the age of 63 had all his symptoms reversed with Ayurveda medicine from naturalherbscentre. com after undergoing their ALS/MND natural protocol, he no longer requires a feeding tube. God Bless all Lou Gehrig’s disease Caregivers. Stay Strong, take small moments throughout the day to thank yourself, to love your self, and pray to whatever faith, star, spiritual force you believe in and ask for strength. I can personally vouch for these remedy but you would probably need to decide what works best for you.
