John Mellencamp and wife split

John Mellencamp and his third wife, Elaine, have decided to call it quits after 20 years of marriage. His rep released the following statement: “John and Elaine Mellencamp are proud of their 20 years together and are very happy with their accomplishments both as parents and as a family. They will continue to raise their two children in Indiana but have decided to call it a day as a couple.” Elaine Irwin Blome Mellencamp, 41, was a supermodel before marrying the singer. This was her first marriage. John was first married to Priscilla Esterline from 1969 to 1981 — with whom he has a 40-year-old daughter, and he has two grown daughters with second wife Victoria Granucci (1981 to 1989). His two sons with Elaine are Hud, 16, and Spec Wildhorse, 15.

His third wife was born the year he married his first wife. His daughter is only one year younger than Elaine. That must’ve been awkward at family gatherings. I bet his daughter really thinks highly of him.

That’s for sure, anonymous2. Everytime he got divorced, he got married a couple of months later. He cheated on all of them.
When was this picture taken? Before or after the lung surgery?? After maybe? Then why does he get a new lease on life and keep smoking? See that white little stick in his hand? Tsk tsk. Either way 20yrs for any couple is amazing and to end it seemingly on an amicable basis, well, good for them.

He’s supposedly dating Meg Ryan. When did he have lung surgery C-Dub? I know his son Speck started a Facebook page last year to get him to stop smoking, but I guess he didn’t get enough people to join because he didn’t quit.

DIVORCE IS NEVER HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO GO. I AM DIVORCED BUT STILL LIVE WITH MY EX AND OUR 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. I LIVE UPSTAIRS AND EX LIVES DOWNSTAIRS. NOT IDEAL…..BUT THANK GOD WE ARE FRIENDS. DIVORCEES SHOULD BE SO LUCKY.
