Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis split

It’s official — Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have ended their 14-year relationship. They fell in love in 1998 and were inseparable since, buying a house together in France. Unlike most celebrity couples, especially considering Depp’s popularity, they managed to keep a fairly low profile over the years, rarely appearing in tabloids. Depp’s publicist, Robin Baum, confirmed the breakup, saying, “Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.” Although Johnny and Vanessa were never married, they have two children together – Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 9. Despite rumors surfacing last January about their relationship being in jeopardy, Vanessa denied there was trouble in paradise in an interview with the French television program Le Grand Journal, saying, “Yes it’s false! Of course it’s false!” She added she was worried the rumors would hurt her children. Twitter feeds about the breakup range from sympathy to speculation about their future romances. ~Stacy Raivich

It sad to know that these celebrities broke up. I always thought that their relationship is as strong as Will and Jada’s smith. But on the brighter side of the story, at least they are still friends after what happened to them.
