Julia Roberts doesn’t work that hard

Julia Roberts doesn’t work as hard as people think she does. Although she’s had a hugely successful Hollywood career and has been in numerous blockbusters, she says she is actually very selective about her movie choices and therefore allows herself plenty of time off. “I really don’t work that much. I think that’s what’s sort of funny – everyone thinks I work so hard,” she laughed in an interview with Empire magazine. Julia was quick to add she did put in a lot of effort on her recent movie project, an adaptation of the female self-help book Eat Pray Love. Julia plays a woman who goes on a voyage of self-discovery around the world, and says she found the role a real challenge because of its philosophical tone. She added making the film was worth the work because she formed a strong bond with the movie’s director Ryan Murphy. “I don’t think as an actor I’ve ever worked so hard. It was well worth it to find this relationship with Ryan – I can’t believe how in synch we became,” she gushed.
