Justin Bieber attacked on stage in Dubai

Justin Bieber was taken by surprise yesterday during a concert in Dubai, when a fan grabbed him from behind. Cell phone footage of the incident (watch below) shows the fan grabbing Justin from behind as he’s playing piano. When security guards rushed on stage to grab the fan, the singer freed himself and in the struggle the piano got knocked over. Bieber’s rep told E!, “A man ran on stage during Believe and tried to grab Justin and knocked the piano over. He was a fan. Security detained the young man. All was fine and Justin continued the show.” According to reports, the piano was unusable for the rest of the show. After a short break, the star returned for an encore and finished the concert with two of his hit songs, Boyfriend and Baby. Justin’s time in the Middle East had its ups and downs. On Saturday he upset fans at another Dubai concert when he arrived in concert two hours late. But he has also shown sensitivity, pausing his concerts to allow fans to pray and editing his set list to exclude songs that might offend Muslims. ~Sarah Dos Santos
