Kate Winslet is to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 38-year-old actress will be the 2,520th star to receive an honor, and the unveiling is set to take place early next week with
Titanic director James Cameron and Kate's co-star in the film, Kathy Bates, presenting her with the accolade outside of the W Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, next Monday, March 17, 2014, according to Hollywood.com. Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, Ana Martinez, said of the new addition: ''We are so happy that Kate Winslet will be here on our famous Boulevard of dreams receiving her well-deserved
star. We've seen Kate shine in her roles and fans around the world have been anxiously waiting for this special day to come.''

This Sunday night as you watch celebrities walk the red carpet, you can “Pop the Champagne” with special edition, alcohol-infused popcorn made exclusively for the 2023 OSCARS.
Why isn’t Leonardo making the speech and giving her the award? Usually it’s a well known co-star who does the honors. Or maybe he feels he’s too famous to do something where he’s not the centre of attention.
Surprised that it’s taken this long for them to give her a star when some other actors not as talented, have already received one.
@Jordan, not sure if you realized but Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio are very close friends. He gave her away at her third wedding. If he’s not at this ceremony I’m sure it will be because he can’t(not because he doesn’t want to) make it.
