Katy Perry to retreat from the spotlight

Katy Perry Katy Perry is planning to go into "major hiding." The 'Wide Awake' singer - who split from husband Russell Brand in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage - wants to take a break from the limelight after promoting her new film, Katy Perry: Part Of Me, though she has no idea where she will go. Katy said: "I'm going to go into major hiding. I think I'll have to after this movie comes out. I am going to get a globe and spin it and point my finger at a place and then head there. I have always wanted to do that since I was a little kid." The hardworking star reportedly also told her entourage that she needs an "extended break" from her career as she "needs to let her heart heal." Katy, 27, embarked on a grueling year-long 'California Dreams' world tour last year, playing 124 shows across the globe. She has struggled to find time to deal with her split from funnyman Russell, 37, after the British comedian filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." The 'Teenage Dream' singer is now dating Florence + The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd.

Maybe if she’d respected his choice not to abuse alcohol or drugs anymore and live a clean life, and not dragged him to clubs all the time where that stuff happens, she wouldn’t need to “let her heart heal.” That’s crap. She’s just saying that for sympathy. She treated Russell poorly and that’s what she should focus on – listening to other people’s needs and try not to be so selfish.

seriously? who are we to judge other people’s relationship. just because it’s plastered all over the place and ppl talk about it – it DOES NOT MEAN that it’s really what’s happening. who knows what’s going on in their actual PRIVATE lives?? just because you’re given the option to put out your opinion doesn’t mean you should go around saying ignorant crap.
