Keanu Reeves wants more studio offers

By Tribute on October 23, 2014 | 4 Comments

Keanu Reeveskeanu_reeves isn’t getting enough love from Hollywood’s film studios. In a recent interview with Indiewire, the John Wick star admitted that after The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008), he didn’t get many major film offers until last year’s actioner, 47 Ronin. “It sucks, but it’s just the way it is,” he said. “You can have positive and negative experiences, but what I like about studios are the resources and the worlds that they can create. Obviously, a lot of good filmmakers work on studio movies.”

He says he hopes he can find a balance between indie and studio movies so he can continue to do both. “I want to keep going, making things, and telling stories,” he said. “I want to be able to do that — to be an actor, a director, to produce, you know?”

Keanu’s new major motion picture, John Wick, which is being released by Summit Entertainment in the States and Entertainment One in Canada, is sure to be a hit. Keanu spoke to Tribute about the film and how the shooting style is what makes it stand out from others in that genre. “John Wick has a real unique palette,” he told us, adding, “The film’s fun, and funny.” Watch our complete interview with Keanu by clicking here~Kelly Townsend

    Problem in Hollywood is that the older you get the harder it becomes to get roles. Even the major Hollywood stars see a diminish in the roles they are given.

    I guess he regrets giving away all the money he made in the matrix and also making statements that he has enough money and that he doesn’t need more

    He’s probably going to get more offers after John Wick. I saw an advance screening with my girlfriend and we both thought it was amazing.

    @john: yeah… for sure.
    Now, he only has $350 millions (actual, accurate number.)

    The poor bastard.
