Taylor LautnerKristen Stewart pelted Taylor Lautner with fruit on the set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The two co-stars – who played Bella Swan and Jacob Black respectively – would pass the time between scenes on the second installment of the vampire franchise by playing catch with their healthy snacks.

Taylor said: “Six or seven years ago on the second Twilight … me and my friend and Kristen Stewart would be bored and she would throw me grapes and I would catch them.

”I have tried a lot of things; apples, bananas – It’s all about the angle. That’s a specific one.”

And the 24-year-old actor took the game even further on the set of his show Cuckoo – and was even considering contacting the Guinness Book of Records to get his fruity trick officially acknowledged.

He told BBC Radio One: “When I was filming Cuckoo we started this weird talent where I catch grapes with my mouth. I did it every lunch and we talked about breaking the World record because we were awfully close and somebody was like ‘You’re throwing these grapes … guarantee there’s a World record and you’re probably close to it.'”

“We got everyone involved in it.”
