Lady Gaga considering face implants

By Alexandra Heilbron on April 28, 2011 | 20 Comments

Lady Gaga is turning heads once again, this time with permanent face implants. Although going under the knife for perfection of beauty isn’t uncommon when you’re a celebrity, the singer’s choice in implants are a little unusual. While sporting raised bumps in her face and shoulders for a more angular appearance in her Born This Way shoot, Lady Gaga was inspired to undergo cosmetic surgery for permanent face implants. Luckily her on again-off again boyfriend, bar manager/musician Carl Luc, put her off the idea. The Bad Romance singer’s body modification is said to be linked to what French artist Orlan had done to herself. Lady Gaga was inspired after seeing pictures of Orlan, saying, “It’s quite beautiful. That’s weird. It’s very fabulous, I’m going to be inspired by her now.”

She creeped me out at the Grammys with those freaky shoulders.

What about the meat dress and the egg? Is it only publicity stunts or an excentric personality? Whatever it is, to me, she’s just another weirdo.

This cover is incredibly insulting to anyone born with facial deformities. Some people truly are ‘born this way’.

Born this way?? as in born to try strange things? Or people with deformities? Is it deformity not to look the ‘norm’? Either way she is fairly unique person but I truly hope she doesn’t spawn a bunch of guys and girls to start walking around in public with blood all over themselves or strange outfits like she wears. Body modification is nothing new, but she is certainly bringing it to the forfront of society and making millions at it. Please don’t follow her everyone. Enjoy the show which is GaGa, take the good and not the bad.

Just watched a documentary about “permanent” implants and what happens when they go wrong – after 10 years of no problems and then pussy welts showing up and nothing can be done to fix them – not plastic surgery, nothing. Worst case scenario but why mess with that? There are temporary things she could try if she MUST. Costumes GAGA – you sing great!

    creepy

I guess I kind of see her wanting to get facial implants as hypocritical. She just did a big self-love anthem, a song meant to inspire us to love ourselves for who we are… And now she wants to change herself more? I guess I see that as backwards thinking.

I agree with you Mellie. She constantly sports the attitude to love yourself, and appreciate what you were born with. Even if she was paying homage to Orlan, she doesn’t have to make it permanent.

Mellie, you are so right. She says to love yourself no matter what, but yet she wants to get permanant FACE inplants. That’s just sad.

I’m glad that Madonna never considered getting her breasts augmented to look extremely long and pointed when she was going through her various re-inventions over the years.

so, she gets the implants and chooses another outfit from her eensy weensy underwear wardrobe to flaunt her “Hey look at me I’m so unorthodox!” self in…

As she changes her body with the new modicications she should likewise modify her name from Lady GaGa to…..Lady KAKA.

  14. Jo-Anne • April 29, 2011 @ 9:50 PM

hahaha Lady KAKA!!! maybe she should ditch the face implants and get a brain implant….

This is what makes me ill. Not pointing fingers at any of the previous posters. But you just can’t put Madonna and Lady Gargh Gackh in the same sentence. Madonna pushed the norms with her lyrics and fashion. Lady Ganguro is just going too far.Do I sound prudish? Maybe. But when I see ugly, all I can think of is u-g-l-y.

She’s an unattractive woman who clearly does not like herself and is into self-mutilation, disguising it as being “avant garde” or artsy…

Zhang and his team tried to get them to leave the isolation of their own rooms and get together in groups. They established a “longtang club,” encouraging the survivors to adopt the lifestyle of people living in Shanghai longtang, or lanes. In a longtang, people, as if they were from the same family, tend to help each other and get together to talk.
