Lindsay Lohan told to fire mother

Lindsay Lohan has allegedly been advised by doctors to fire her mother Dina as her manager. The actress is currently undergoing rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic in Los Angeles and medics have warned her if Dina continues to focus her energies on her daughter’s career rather than being a parent to her, Lindsay will find it harder to beat her drug problems. A source said: “Dina needs to no longer act as her manager, or work for her daughter in any capacity. Lindsay needs Dina to simply be her mother. Lindsay’s treatment team at Betty Ford has emphasised this to Lindsay, very, very strongly.” The pressures of providing for her mother and siblings have taken their toll on Lindsay, 24, and doctors believe that by working for her daughter Dina has damaged their relationship. The insider told RadarOnline.com: “Lindsay feels the financial burden of taking care of her entire family. It’s enormous pressure for any person in their twenties, let alone someone battling with addiction. Lindsay and Dina don’t have a normal mother-and-daughter dynamic because of the length of time that Dina has worked for Lindsay.” Dina has also banned Lindsay’s father Michael from visiting their daughter while she is in rehab.

About time someone told her what everyone’s been thinking for years now. Even having Dina Lohan as just a mother might not be the healthiest alternative either though.

I wish they would just all just dissapear.

True, Neal. Seems like her momma’s probably not the best influence.

its disgusting that lindsay has been the one paying for her entire family. sure, she may have had money since she was little, but SHE didnt give birth to any of those people so she is not financially responsible for any of them. what kind of a mother is more concerned with money than her daughters well being and health?

This just goes to show that one can only chose their friends but not their family. I agree that Lindsay needs to fire her mother as her manager and just let her mom be her mom. She needs to get a competent manager working for her. Did I not hear that her mom was into heavy boozing and drugs at one point as well?

I think the best advise for Lindsay above all is to move on and find a much more stable group of friends to hang around. Having that stability will eventually rub off on her and with any luck allow her time to deal with those things which she just cannot deal with now. Most of what she is dealing with is fixable she (Lindsay) just has to want to change first.

That would be a smart move. But I don’t think her mother would be much of a mother no matter what.
