Male pilot claims he was John Travolta’s lover

Doug Gotterba, a male pilot, claims he was John Travolta’s gay lover in the 1980s and that the actor admitted to him that he was still into men even after marrying actress Kelly Preston in 1991. The 62-year-old pilot, who last saw Travolta in 1992, told The National Enquirer, “They’d just gotten back from the Church of Scientology’s Celebrity Center in Hollywood when I arrived and John asked me to go with him for a walk on the beach. We were making small talk when suddenly, I blurted out, ‘So, John, tell me. Now that you’re married, do you still prefer men – or women?’ He looked me straight in the eye and said, ‘Well, Doug, I still prefer men!’ I said, ‘Okay.’ And that’s the last time we saw each other.”
Gotterba says he first met the Saturday Night Fever star in February 1981 when the actor was interviewing for a pilot’s position. The two flew to Monterey, California where they spent the night at a resort. “We had a wonderful dinner with a fantastic bottle of merlot, and I got the sense I was being courted,” Gotterba said. “As we walked from the restaurant back to the room, John suddenly said, ‘Hey, would you like a massage?'” By this point, Gotterba knew where things were headed. One thing led to another and according to Gotterba, it was the start of what would become an intimate six-year relationship. Earlier this year, two male massage therapists filed lawsuits against Travolta, claiming he made unwanted sexual advances towards them. But despite all this, the 58-year-old actor has made no comments regarding these lawsuits or his questioned sexuality. His representatives are still maintaining that it’s all lies. ~Isabelle Khoo

People today will believe anything that is put in a book or a magazine. People often believe in just plain old gossip. I’ve learned that gossip and lies will hurt and destroy others and that the ones who are spreading the garbage are the ones who are truly unhappy and have messed up in their own lives, so they feel it’s their need to attack the ones who are truly the happiest. People need to start growing up and start minding their own business and move on with their own lives by trying to fix their own problems. This is called, “GETTING A NEW LIFE” and stop spreading nothing but lies and hurting others. Who cares what goes on in his life, as long as he’s living and breathing and enjoying the fact that he’s truly happy to be alive and still on this planet that we all call Earth.

But his scientology will not allow it-so he is also a hypocrite. This shows just how much power scientology hasH-something Katie Holmes recognized & got out. I think John also feels he would not get the “manly” roles anymore if he came out. Playing this dual-role life will surely catch up with him sooner or later.

When did we stop knocking at a door before opening it? If Travolta chooses to sleep with men, THATS HIS BUSINESS! He is a talented actor. What does it matter as long as he gets the job (acting) done? Do we all have nothing better to do with our life then snicker about who some one is sleeping with? The only person Travolta has to answer to is his wife/himself.
If you don’t like what you find in his bedroom, shut the door and walk away! You shouldn’t be knocking in the first place.

I used to be a publicist for a major record company…my kids are not even allowed to look at the National Enquirer, and others OK, etc. These are not magazines, do not buy them, how would you like your life displayed.
