Mary Kennedy found dead of apparent suicide

Tragedy has once again struck the Kennedy family. Mary Richardson Kennedy, estranged wife of Robert Kennedy Jr., was found dead at her home yesterday of an apparent suicide attempt. According to ABC News, police responded to a call around 1:30 p.m. after Kennedy’s housekeeper found her body hanging in the garage of her home. The incident is being investigated by the Bedford Police Department. In a statement released through her lawyer, the 52-year-old’s family spoke out about the tragic loss. “We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her. Our heart goes out to her children who she loved without reservation.” Kennedy has four children with her husband, who filed for divorce in 2010 after 16 years of marriage. She showed signs of inner conflict following that, facing several arrests for driving under the influence and reports of alcohol abuse. Robert is the son of American politician Bobby Kennedy, who was shot to death in 1968. ~Kyle Sharp

Any attempt at suicide whether successful or not is an attempt. That’s why it’s called a “failed suicide attempt” when it’s not successful. Furthermore, none of us know she killed herself. Were we there? She was found hanging, how do we know someone didn’t kill her and stage it to look like a suicide? You all need to take an English class.
ABCD is right. Google “Successful suicide attempt” and you’ll find this topic discussed in an online article by the American Journal of Psychiatry.
So very sad that poor family really didn’t need this especially just after mother’s day my condolences.
