Matt Damon: Back in Action

By Paul on March 8, 2010 | 3 Comments

Matt Damon reunites with director Paul Greengrass for the edge-of-your-seat thriller Green Zone, which hits theatres March 12. The two worked together on both Bourne movies and now bring us a smart, fast-paced action film based in Baghdad.  Damon portrays Roy Miller, a warrant officer who helps a senior CIA officer in the search for weapons of mass destruction.

Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer spoke with Damon, Greengrass and some of the other cast members to discuss what it was like working on a film that will undoubtedly have a huge impact on moviegoers.

Man and boys are your amators usually! They are most attracted to that kind of movies. It is no doubt that your film was very good and interresting. It is making them feel more macho ? I do not know! But us woman would like it to stop for a while .I think it is a bit too much !
Why should our kids ,lives with so much violence constantly under there eyes? It surely cannot be good!
n video games , movies, news and so on?
We are actually showing them how to kill , how to steal banks and so on , how to lie! Where is the trill?
In the medias and certain movies It is who will give the most macabre pictures, the most scandalous sex affairs, the most hateful murder, gossips etc…the most brutal this and the most brutal that !
Life can be so beautiful. Even if you are not happy you are not alone and it is not a reason to be violent. you should learn to draw or sing or do something good for your neighbour.
Will it be so hard for once to show the good side of the medal? The good will of mankind? Why not?
Sometime I wonder if our leaders are having some goodness in their heart ? Are they not responsible for what is happening in the world right now!!!
It seems as if they are scared to affirm their responsabilities in their decisions for the good of mankind. The medicaments and food as the rest should be strickly screened before allowed to be put on our shelves.
I am aware of the freedom of this and the freedom of that! But sometime too much freedom is killing . A child with no discipline is feeling not love and became a rebel or extremely melancolic. And you know the results.( remember freedom of speach )
What’s going on? If we want peace in this world ( and that I am not so sure about! ) will it not be better to sow love, kindness, harmony and goodwill to mankind rather than war and death . I am so glad that i was born in the forties! I was able to live my youth in the the magical fifties and sisties. life was so simple in my little town and almost everywhere in the world in those days… Peace and the medias was serving us like kings and queen.. on a platter every day? Good news ,,good news …Where is the right to happiness?

Man and boys are your devotees usually! Yes,they are the most attracted to that kind of movies. Oh, It is no doubt that your film was very good and interresting. It is making them feel more macho? I do not know! But as a woman I would like so much the brutality to stop for a while.I think that there should be a break in that violent stagnation. Enough is enough ! Open your eyes on somethings a little magic something worth-while for a change!
Why should our kids ,lives with such violence constantly under there eyes? It surely cannot be good!Video games , movies, news are most of the time saturated by it. it is as if that ugliness should prevail in this world ! What is going on? They are actually showing our kid how to kill , how to steal ,how to lie! Where’s the trill? You might say choose their sighting but when the parents are working you know that it is not easy !

So what are you trying to say? That people should make movies about people doing nice things all day? Personally i don;t think watching a movie about a guy teaching his son how to ride a bike is the most exciting thing I have ever seen. There are movies that make you happy or laugh. There is movies about people trying to spread the message of peace. There is movies about magic, just because there is more action movies does not mean the entire movie industry is polluted. Action movies are more exciting to watch. If we wanted to feel good inside we would draw or write a song. When we watch action movies we are not trying to fell good about ourselves. Were going to be excited or thrilled.
