Matthew Fox swears he’s not a woman beater

Matthew Fox was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to promote his new film Alex Cross, in which he plays a sadistic serial killer who enjoys slowly torturing women to death and although some may say he was typecast, he tried to clear up the bad rap he’s received after being charged for assaulting a woman. In 2011, Fox was arrested in Cleveland after a female driver of a private party bus claimed that the drunken Lost actor hit her “in the private parts of her body” after she told Fox (who didn’t have an invite) he could not board the vehicle. Although criminal charges were dropped, the driver filed a civil law suit against Fox — prompting Fox to countersue — until both cases were dropped and Fox walked free. Fox told Ellen he’d actually been sucker punched by a man, saying, “A fight broke out, and she was a woman that was in proximity to that,” and claimed the driver was “trying to extort money from me.” Fox’s claims of innocence are suspicious, considering the public humiliation his Lost co-star and PETA activist Dominic Monaghan unleashed in 2011. Via Twitter, Monaghan announced that Fox indeed “beats women, not isolated incidents. Often.” Speaking about the recent DUI charge Fox received in Oregon on May 6, Fox joked ,“This I actually did do.”~Brandon Bastaldo

Dominic wasn’t joking, either. He’s a violent person and he probably jumped at the chance to play someone who tortures women because he got a chance to legally play out his fantasies.
With all the crap going on in this world why do you make a garbage movie like this?? Many women and children are being tortured and murdered without the help of these Hollywood sickos!

yep, MOVIES are the reason sickos are the way they are. not the way they are raised, not the way they are treated throughout their lives, not mental illness, not any reason other than simply because they watched some pretend torture or murder on tv. totally.
And who watches these horror movies; there is a demand for them and that’s why movie studios make them. Just because someone takes a role in these movie doesn’t mean they are a serial killer or torturer of women. Is Anthony Hopkins a serial killer with cannibalistic tendencies?? Matthew Fox has had some roles where he played a good guy; does that make him a saint, incapable of doing wrong? No, he is a flawed human being, prone to making mistakes like all of us. Anyone who has had addiction to drugs or alcohol will understand. He is trying to turn his life around. I don’t believe people get mentally depraved from watching horror/slasher flicks; I have watched many, and so far have experienced absolutely no homicidal tendencies.

If I understand your comment correctly, you’re asking Luis Willis how he knows that women and children are being tortred and beaten… How does he or anyone know? They read the news! A teenaged girl was shot in the head by Taliban members for supporting the education of girls, a child was tortured and her hands were glued to a wall by her mother, ever hear about honour killings? All directed at women…. These are only three examples that I can think of off the top of my head. That’s how you know…
meow meow, Germain could have been commenting on the Annie comment that Dominic wasn’t joking. How would she know that? Was she there, or is she just believing Dominic’s tweet?
And making movies /tv shows with violence has been done since the dawn of time. Since the days of the bible when it was written in the stories. Doesn’t make a person violent. It’s in you, then society has been trying to drive it out of those people who act on such things. That’s why we have prisons (not saying it works), and drugs (not saying they are 100% effective), and counseling (not saying it’s 100% effective either), etc… There is a demand for it, not because people drool over watching their fanstacies come to life, but also to see the person committing the crimes, get their come-uppins too ya know.
