Miley Cyrus and Aussie boyfriend split

By Tribute on August 27, 2010 | 46 Comments

Miley Cyrus, 17, and Liam Hemsworth, 19, have broken up, according to his rep, who confirmed the news to UsMagazine.com on Wednesday. The two met last year on the set of The Last Song, in which he played her romantic lead. Just two months ago, Cyrus posted on her website to say that despite rumors, she and Hemsworth were still together: “Just wanna clear up a rumor. Liam [Hemsworth] and I did not break. EVER!,” she wrote. “We are so happy and a lot of that has to do with the amazing relationship he has with my family.” However, Liam was reportedly increasingly jealous of Miley’s raunchy onstage antics and skimpy outfits. Miley is currently filming the motion picture LOL in Detroit and has been photographed semi-straddling/crotch grinding her co-star, 18-year-old Adam Sevani (pictured at left above), who is sitting on stairs in the photo. Sevani recently starred in Step Up 3.

    Surprise, surprise…
Guess buying that house to move in together isn’t going to work out?

  2. Claire • August 27, 2010 @ 12:23 PM

It’s about time she moved on. Wonder when she’ll grow up enough to stop falling in love with her co-stars, oh wait, that happens to everyone in Hollywood.

  3. Joshua • August 27, 2010 @ 12:53 PM

So him caring about her acting like a slut more and more is unreasonable? I still cant look at her in those outfits, just blows my mind and the fact she isn’t even 18..but that’s just me. Well and him i guess.

  4. Ally • August 27, 2010 @ 2:31 PM

Her co star is nothing special, you think they could have had a good looking guy for it. Anyways, I knew it wouldn’t work out with Miley and Liam, he’s too good for her anyway.

  5. mandee • August 27, 2010 @ 4:03 PM

Claire on August 27, 2010 12:23 PM happens in real life when people work with others as well, the only difference is because the people arent famous, its not posted on every website, newspaper or tabloid in the world 😛

Joshua on August 27, 2010 12:53 PM i think maybe it was because in her eyes she should be allowed to dress and act how she wants without a man telling her how to live her life. if shes not cheating on him, who cares how much skin she shows, as long as her main parts are covered? thats the problem with most men, when they date women they think they own them and can dictate how they will dress, act and who they will talk to. shes young, if she wants to dress trampy i say all the power to her. shes not hurting anyone.

i hope she finds whatever shes looking for and is happy in her life.

Ally on August 27, 2010 2:31 PM how old are you? because thats sure a lovely thing to say about a child, and if youre an adult, it just proves how disgusting you are.

  6. Linda • August 27, 2010 @ 4:35 PM

No surprise, who would stay with someone who shows their bits and pieces on stage, and crotch-grinds other people? Good choice, Liam, this wouldn’t have worked out well for you.

  7. Ally • August 27, 2010 @ 4:59 PM

Mandee, what the f**k are you talking about? How am I a child? and if im an adult, how am I disgusting? Im 18, you moron. Im allowed to type my opinion. All I said was Miley’s co star is nothing special and that Liam is too good for her. Tell me how that is wrong.

  8. Ally • August 27, 2010 @ 5:00 PM

And alson to Mandee, Liam is not a child he is 19

  9. Belial • August 27, 2010 @ 6:03 PM

oh good, another useless piece of info on a narcissistic, egomaniacal, pretentious,self-absorbed, that’s why my name has to be out there in the media for anything but the merits of my talent to keep me in the constant spotlight because I lack true talent and the envelope keeps widening ever larger so I can think of myself significant.
    Blagh!!!

  10. ashley • August 27, 2010 @ 6:41 PM

    well well well…. not suprising.

  11. mandee • August 27, 2010 @ 8:58 PM

Ally on August 27, 2010 5:00 PM i mean you saying anyone is “too good for her” is being rude and disgusting, what do you mean alson? did you post something else?

  12. Joshua • August 27, 2010 @ 9:02 PM

I think Mandee you just showed us you have problems of your own. Have problems with men do you? You sound like my mother (whom hates men). You know the problem most men have? Could you be more Sexist? We are just stating our opinion. Oh and i feel she is to young, i have a daughter and i refuse to buy the new CD for her. Like i want my daughter looking up to a girl that is so eager to take her clothes off and dance like a stripper. Its not that i have a problem with that sort of dancing, i just find it distasteful to watch her cuz of her age. And she does have the right to act however she wants, we never said she couldn’t. But we as parents or guardians have the right so say “I dont want you watching this, Im sorry but she is no longer a suitable role model”. I feel kinda stupid responding to someone who clearly has mental issues, but hey I’m bored.

  13. Ally • August 27, 2010 @ 9:21 PM

I meant also. And Miley is not pretty at all. So that’s why I said he’s too good for her. How the hell is that disgusting? Mileys not pretty and never has been with her gums showing all the time

  14. Ally • August 27, 2010 @ 9:28 PM

    Joshua
How do I have mental issues? because im stating my opinon? Because I said he’s too good for her? Because I don’t like Miley? You need to learn that sharing your opinion is not a bad thing. So maybe you should get off your ass and realize that not everyone is crazy because they have something to say that you clearly don’t like.

  15. brad • August 28, 2010 @ 6:28 AM

lol liam seems to have shrunk a little bit and grew out his hair

  16. Linda • August 28, 2010 @ 1:19 PM

Actually, Ally, the way I read Joshua’s comment, I think he meant it was Mandee that has problems, not you. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how I read it.

  17. Samantha • August 28, 2010 @ 3:02 PM

Yeah, I read it like that, too.

  18. mandee • August 28, 2010 @ 3:33 PM

Joshua on August 27, 2010 9:02 PM haha i dont hate men, and EVERYONE has problems of their own 😛 also, i didnt say you couldnt say that your kid cant watch something or someone if thats what you choose to do. im far from being sexist, im saying that men do think they can control women, which is why so much of the population of women are abused and mistreated by men. did i say women arent the same way? sure didnt, you made that assumption, the same way you ASSUMED i have “mental issues” because of my opinion. i could say the same about you, you have mental issues because youre trying to control your children. you also have mental issues because you go out of your way to think terrible things about people youve never met. nice huh? next time, take my comments for what they are and stop trying to put a twisted spin on what ive said.

Ally on August 27, 2010 9:21 PM the reason i said youre disgusting is because youre insulting a child. thats the only reason, and thats why your comments irritated me. no one should talk that way about children.

Ally on August 27, 2010 9:28 PM and yes, it was me he was talking to, people cant ever have a conversation with me without freaking out on here lmao. its pretty entertaining if you ask me. 😛 someone having “mental issues” because they are willing to tell it like it is. 😛 although, i loved your comment and thats going to be my reply when he says “i was talking about mandee”

  19. Noboy Important. • August 29, 2010 @ 6:07 AM

I despise Miley Cyrus beyond words. She led a generation of pre-teen followers from wholesome to slutty in her short career. If you ask me, Miley and all the other raunchy Disney manufactured $lut$ are what’s wrong with the world these days.

  20. Sarah • August 29, 2010 @ 4:37 PM

    Once a S-L-U-T, always a S-L-U-T.

  21. diandra h • August 29, 2010 @ 4:39 PM

why is this news? They just shacked up together to promote their movie!!

  22. diandra holt • August 29, 2010 @ 4:40 PM

he’s too hot & available now!!

  23. kevin • August 29, 2010 @ 4:47 PM

who has miley the slutty ho not straddled/crotch grinded? she’s a slut like most white girls

  24. j • August 29, 2010 @ 4:47 PM

    WHO CARES??

  25. mandee • August 29, 2010 @ 10:32 PM

Sarah on August 29, 2010 4:37 PM takes one to know one, princess.

for all of you that are insulting the CHILD, you are sick and dont deserve children.

  26. Nobody Important. • August 30, 2010 @ 3:02 AM

Mandee, and you don’t deserve your internet privileges.

Celebs like Miley Cyrus are what’s wrong with the world these days. They don’t empower women; they demean them.

Oh, I hardly think someone who grinds their crotch in public while dating a 21 year old underwear model @ 16 (or was it 15?) deserves to be classified as a child (unless we’re talking about one of those Maury Povich kids).

  27. mandee • August 30, 2010 @ 6:49 AM

Nobody Important. on August 30, 2010 3:02 AM why? because i stick up for children that are being demeaned and insulted? if anyone doesnt deserve internet, its those that think its “cool” or “ok” or “funny” to talk so dirty about CHILDREN.

just because she has made some mistakes in life, doesnt make her any less of a CHILD. what child have you met that hasnt made mistakes in their lives? im sure A LOT of teens do these kinds of things, its just that their lives arent broadcast on websites and the news so that twisted people (such as yourself) can comment and degrade them. how do you, or anyone for that matter, ever expect a child to learn how to act or how to grow up without making mistakes and learning from them? life is all about mistakes, regrets, choices, learning and growing. do you somehow not understand that?

  28. Kim • August 30, 2010 @ 9:42 AM

Mandee, what on earth will you do in less than two months when she turns 18? Will you still be defending her by calling her a child? She’s not a child. She’s a teen, and a very experienced one at that, and one who’s had probably more experiences in her life than you have had in yours.

  29. Claire • August 30, 2010 @ 2:31 PM

What mistakes has Miley made, Mandee? Do you mean the poor decisions she’s made? The ones she doesn’t even realize were poor decisions, like lap dancing a 40-year-old guy? She probably still thinks that was a ton of fun.

  30. Linda • August 30, 2010 @ 4:33 PM

She’s not a child, and she’s not yet an adult, she’s in between right now, but much closer to being an adult than a child. To say these “mistakes” are ok because she’s a “child” is a mistake. She’s certainly old enough to know what she’s doing. And if she had an ounce of common sense, she’d know that it’s not ok to go around crotch grinding other guys while she’s in a relationship.

  31. mandee • August 30, 2010 @ 5:17 PM

Kim on August 30, 2010 9:42 AM shes a child until shes 21, and she will ALWAYS be SOMEONES child, no matter how old she is. and for you to talk about my life, wow you must know me pretty well huh? because i post on an internet site, you know my whole life story, right? glad i dont know you in real life!

Claire on August 30, 2010 2:31 PM those are the “mistakes” im talking about. she obviously doesnt have a solid role model or someone to tell her whats right from wrong, or help her mature properly. she has parents, they clearly arent doing their jobs by teaching her about the world around her and what is, and isnt ok to do.

Linda on August 30, 2010 4:33 PM maybe thats the way her mother acts? you have no idea the influence the people around a CHILD can have. WE also have no idea how her mother behaves when she is around miley. when i say someone is a CHILD, it will never be a mistake, because, as i said, no matter what age she is, she will ALWAYS be SOMEONES child.

  32. Nobody Important. • August 30, 2010 @ 7:15 PM

mandee – why? because i stick up for children that are being demeaned and insulted?
    ———-
No because you give poor behavior a free pass… or chalk it up to life experience.

I never tried crack when I was a kid to just to find out first-hand that it can cause depression and paranoia. I never jumped in front of a speeding bus to find out I could break my bones, I never placed my bare hand on a stove element to experience 1st degree burns, and I never slept with a hooker with some god-forsaken disease just so I can experience the sensation of my dick falling-off.

Knowing the difference between right and wrong doesn’t require first hand experience… especially when you’re equipped with a little the rest of us call COMMON SENSE.

  33. C-Dub • August 30, 2010 @ 8:40 PM

Wow this got personal! Remember people, these are ‘celebrities’ and are not real. They are figments of our imagination as we have created them to be bigger and more important than they really are. lol.
But yes, there is pressure at ANY age in Hollywood to be bigger and better and maybe more original than the last big thing. Personally I’d like to see Miley say “No, I don’t think this is appropriate.” I bet that would have made shockwaves as well. How refreshing would that have been??? NEWS Headline: Miley Cyrus says no to dirty pictures and gets fired from movie and loses millions.

    Awesome.

  34. Nobody Important. • August 30, 2010 @ 10:33 PM

Honestly, I couldn’t care less what Miley’s upto if she wasn’t a role model for little girls. What’s a tween girl supposed to think when they see a clip of Miley giving a 44 year old dude a lapdance (google ‘Miley Cyrus Lap Dance Video’)?

Since we’re on the topic of children. That particular TMZ lapdance video had a WARNING that it was not appropriate for children. Kinda ironic to see Mandee defending a quote/unquote “Child” whose actions are not deemed acceptable for children.

I don’t know what’s more pathetic at this moment. Miley Cyrus’ actions, or the people that defend her.

  35. gypsy • August 31, 2010 @ 4:27 AM

CLEARLY YOU PEOPLE DON’T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LAP-DANCE AND THE ONE MILEY WAS DOING ,WHICH IS CALLED THE GRIND,A DANCE THAT ALL KIDS AND ADULTS ARE DOING AT SCHOOL DANCES AND CLUBS!!!!!!!!!!!! I DO BELIEVE THE LEGAL AGE IN THE US IS 21YRS NOT 19 AS IT IS HERE IN CANADA.MANDEE FOR SOMEONE THAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING HAS MENTAL ISSUES,YOUR COMMENTS MAKE MORE SENSE THAN THOSE THAT ARE SUPPOSE TO BE OLDER AND WISER!!!DAM STRAIGHT DADDY DEAREST SOUNDS LIKE HITLER ,I FEEL SORRY FOR HIS KID’S!!!!!

  36. Nobody Important. • August 31, 2010 @ 7:05 AM

WHY ARE YOU YELLING GYPSY!!???? YELLING IS BAD M’KAY!!!

Anyways, TMZ originally aired a video of what they called a lapdance, but if you think calling it a Grind softens(lol) the fact a 16 year old Miley was rubbing her ass in a 44 year old man’s crotch than be my guest. The people who shot the video say they were offended by the dirty dancing — which included a graphic lap dance… err grind, but I digress.

GIRLS: Pay attention to Miley because she’s got all the answers. You can indebt yourself earning a masters in biochemistry (like my cousin) only to be stuck working retail just to make ends meet, OR you can whore your image in exchange for a 1 billion dollar empire.

  37. mandee • August 31, 2010 @ 7:45 AM

Nobody Important. on August 30, 2010 7:15 PM the way i look at it, EVERYONE is entitled to make mistakes or make poor judgments in life, you only live once, you cant expect EVERYONE to act PERFECT 24/7. and common sense? pffft, theres so many people in this world WITHOUT common sense that a coffee shop can be sued when someone gets burnt from their HOT COFFEE, or mcdonalds can be sued when someone gets fat from eating nothing but mcdonalds every meal, the world is full of people that dont use their COMMON SENSE on a daily basis. we shouldnt condemn someone we know nothing about, other than what is shown on a gossip website! people are free to make their own mistakes (once again, in case you missed that!) and shouldnt be mistreated when they DO make those mistakes. and just so you know, i dont believe for one second that you havent made a mistake in your life or done something you regret. its all part of being alive.

    C-Dub on August 30, 2010 8:40 PM ahahaha 😛

Nobody Important. on August 30, 2010 10:33 PM parents that let a “tween” be online unsupervised and let them watch things that are above their age group are the ones that should be in the hot seat here. miley can do whatever she pleases, so what if she was a role model for children? she has the right to grow up and act immature and have fun. what miley does on television is what the girls look up to, what she does in her private life, her private time, should be kept just that — private. and my opinion, those of you CHILD ABUSERS that feel the need to verbally abuse children over something so silly as them making mistakes in life, is “what’s more pathetic”. child abuser.

gypsy on August 31, 2010 4:27 AM thanks chicky, as always, i completely agree with your comments. 😀 hope youre doing well.

Nobody Important. on August 31, 2010 7:05 AM maybe someone should be looking at the “44 year old man” that allowed a CHILD to rub herself against his privates? maybe he should be charged with child molestation or something similar? if a grown man decided it was OK to allow a CHILD to do that, clearly shes not going to think theres something wrong with what shes doing.

  38. Nobody Important. • August 31, 2010 @ 8:28 AM

Anyways, it’s clear you think Miley’s a child, and therefore the rules that govern adult society don’t apply to her. I suppose you’d think it’s OK if she killed someone … because she’s only a child. Good for you for criticizing people that don’t use COMMON SENSE without using any of your own. I guess that qualifies you as a maverick.

  39. Linda • August 31, 2010 @ 7:03 PM

Apparently it is ok for Miley to go out and kill someone, after all she is only a CHILD with clearly her parents aren’t doing their job and “miley can do whatever she pleases, so what if she was a role model for children?” And the rest of us are child abusers?

mandee, you have just insulted lots of people on here, including Miley’s parents. You say “no matter what age she is, she will ALWAYS be SOMEONES child.” Yeah, same goes for her parents, and all the people you are insulting on here, we are all always going to be someone’s child, that doesn’t mean we don’t have to be responsible for our actions.

N.I. love your comments, hit the nail on the head.

  40. mandee • September 1, 2010 @ 7:43 AM

Nobody Important. on August 31, 2010 8:28 AM comparing the way a child dresses and acts around others to murder is the dumbest thing ive ever heard anyone do. even dumber than when justin bieber said being asked to get his pic taken by drunk women was like rape.

Linda on August 31, 2010 7:03 PM apparently, you and the one above you are both idiots. killing someone and dressing/acting slutty while youre a TEENAGER(child) is not the same thing. calling a child(yanno, teenager?) dirty names IS child abuse. its considered verbal abuse. do you know the definition of abuse? and i didnt say she doesnt have to be responsible for her actions, what i said was she has the right to make mistakes, she has the right to dress and act as she sees fit, its not her JOB to be a role model 24/7. she gets paid to be a role model while shes on television, thats where it stops. after that, its up to the parents to monitor what their children are watching or seeing online or otherwise. you see nothing wrong with parents letting preteens online unsupervised where they can watch miley act her age? she is a child until she is 21. end of story. thats the legal age in the states, thats the age she is considered a child/minor.

  41. mandee • September 1, 2010 @ 7:44 AM

sorry, i meant dumbest thing ive heard anyone SAY. ive been up all night 😛 so im a bit sleepy ! long night at work.

  42. gypsy • September 1, 2010 @ 11:03 PM

The only role model a child should have is their PARENT’S.If you allow a child to look up to a celebrity, police officer, teacher, preacher etc, then you are not doing your job as a parent,(in my opinion)!!If you don’t know the difference between a lap-dance and a dance called the grind then you are so far out of the loop that there’s no sense in commenting back to your (professional opinions) in this area!!!As to TMZ sensualizing the video with a warning, and those that took the video stating they were disgusted by her actions, some people obviously don’t realize that is their JOB to get the public’s ATTENTION.They know their stuff!!!

  43. Nobody Important. • September 2, 2010 @ 3:28 AM

I’m done arguing with you two lunatics. You’re dragging me down to your level, and beating me with experience.

  44. Linda • September 2, 2010 @ 8:58 PM

N.I. I think that’s the best comment on this page so far.

  45. mandee • September 3, 2010 @ 12:31 AM

talk about plagiarism NI. sucks to be you, to know youre losing to two girls. aha

  46. gypsy • September 3, 2010 @ 10:02 AM

@Nobody Important, hell your so far BELOW ground level you need to get a ladder to hit sun light, and even then we’re well ABOVE your level.Apparently you don’t understand the difference between a discussion, argument,or opposing viewpoints!!!!!!!!Your HANDLE fits you perfectly!!!!
