The Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour certainly lives up to its name – the pop star kicked off her tour with a loud and shocking bang in Vancouver last Friday. During Miley’s stop in Tacoma, Washington on Sunday, she pulled a provocative stunt mid-performance. The controversial star picked up a red thong that was tossed onstage by a fan in the audience, and she proceeded to wrap it around her microphone and then put it in her mouth. This move surprised some fans, who shared their disbelief on Twitter. “OMFG SOMEONE JUST THREW THEIR THONG ON STAGE AND MILEY PUT IT IN HER MOUTH!!!! (sic),” one audience member wrote. Miley’s onstage antics shouldn’t come as a surprise – the 21-year-old songstress has been making headlines since her shocking VMA performance with Robin Thicke last year. As for the Bangerz Tour, fans should anticipate lots of outrageous costumes, foam fingers and Miley’s signature twerking. ~Yara Matar
