miley_cyrusIt’s been almost four years since Miley Cyrus debuted on Disney Channel’s series Hannah Montana and her popularity does not seem to have declined. She received four Kids Choice Award nominations, including Favorite Movie Actress (going up against Sandra BullockMegan Fox and Zoe Saldana) Favorite TV Actress (opposite Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez and Keke Palmer), Favorite Song (Party in the USA) and Favorite Female Singer (taking on Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift). Oddly, Hannah Montana was not nominated in the Best TV show category. The Twilight Saga: New Moon earned five nominations: Favorite Movie, Favorite Book, Taylor Lautner as Favorite Movie Actor, with Edward and Bella (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) up against Jacob and Bella (Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart) as Cutest Couple. Taylor Lautner was also nominated for Best Movie Actor, going up against Zac EfronTyler Perry and Shia LaBeouf. Kevin James will host Nickelodeon’s 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards during a live ceremony on March 27 from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion from 8 to 9:30 p.m. ~Alexandra Heilbron
