Animated feature Mr. Peabody & Sherman, starring the vocal talents of Ty Burrell, Ariel Winter and Max Charles, took the number one spot at the weekend box office with an estimated take of $21 million and a 3 star Tribute rating from our users. Last week’s top movie 300:Rise of an Empire fell to second place, bringing in $19 million and a high 4 star Tribute rating. Debuting at number three was the new race car movie Need for Speed, starring Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul. The film gathered $18 million at the box office and received a high 4 star rating from our readers. At number four was the the thriller Non-Stop starring Liam Neeson. The film brought in $11 million and another impressive 4 star Tribute rating. Rounding out the top five was Tyler Perry’s new comedy The Single Moms Club, which earned $8 million in its opening weekend and a perfect 5 star Tribute rating from our readers. Rounding out the top ten are The LEGO Movie, Son of God, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Frozen and Veronica Mars.
