Puss in Boots: The Last WishTwo wide releases opened in theaters on Wednesday — Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and the much buzzed about The Whale starring Brendan Fraser, which won Best Film at the Venice Film Festival. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish – After burning though eight lives, Puss in Boots (voice of Antonio Banderas) sets out on an epic journey to find the mythical Last Wish and restore all nine. Click here for showtimes.

The Whale – A reclusive English teacher (Brendan Fraser) living with severe obesity attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption. Click here for showtimes.

Babylon – Set in 1920s Los Angeles and starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, the film traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood. Click here for showtimes.

Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with SomebodyNaomi Ackie stars as the late Whitney Houston in this musical biopic, which is based on the epic life and music of the iconic singer. Click here for showtimes.

The Pale Blue Eye – Veteran detective Augustus Landor (Christian Bale) investigates murders helped by a young cadet who will eventually go on to become a world-famous author, Edgar Allan Poe. Opening in select cities, then debuts on Netflix January 6.  Click here for showtimes.

Women Talking – When the women of an isolated religious community discover who has been drugging and attacking them at night, they’re given an ultimatum. Forgive them or leave. The men take the accused to the local authorities, but also plan to bail them out immediately. The women vote on whether to stay and forgive their attackers, stay and fight, or leave. Michelle McLeod, who plays one of the Mennonite women who find themselves struggling with a dilemma in Women Talking, describes Sarah Polley is as a director, tells it was like to work with Claire Foy and reveals the amazing gifts Rooney Mara made for each of the cast members. She also talks about some of the behind-the-scenes movie magic that you’ll see in the film.
