New movies in theaters – The Fabelmans, Strange World & more

It’s U.S. Thanksgiving and that means a wide range of new movies are available in theaters this weekend. Check them out and watch the trailers — there’s something for everyone! ~Alexandra Heilbron

The Fabelmans – Growing up in post-World War II era Arizona, a young man named Sammy Fabelman discovers a shattering family secret and explores how the power of films can help him see the truth. Click here for showtimes.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery – Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects. Click here for showtimes.

Bones and All – A story of first love between Maren (Taylor Russell), a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee (Timothée Chalamet), a disenfranchised drifter, as they go on a thousand-mile odyssey that takes them through the back roads, hidden passages and trap doors of Ronald Reagan’s America. A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story – Filmed live for cinemas during the 2021 stage run at London’s sumptuous Alexandra Palace Theatre and filled with Dickensian, spine-tingling special effects, prepare to be frightened and delighted in equal measure in this stage version starring Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, Doctor Who) as Jacob Marley and Nicholas Farrell (Chariots of Fire, The Crown) as Scrooge. Lady Chatterley’s Lover – Connie’s (Emma Corrin) life of wealth and privilege seems set as she takes the title of Lady Chatterley after marrying Sir Clifford Chatterley, whose war injuries leave him unable to walk. When she falls for gamekeeper Oliver Mellors (Jack O’Connell), their affair becomes the subject of local gossip and Connie faces a life-altering decision: follow her heart or return to her husband.
