There’s a fantastic selection of DVDs and Blu-rays coming out today, including Best Picture Oscar nominee Arrival, the drama Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk and the uplifting action/thriller Priceless. Check out the full list below.
When mysterious spaceships land in various locations around the world in Arrival, the military hires an elite team consisting of linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams), Ian Donnelly (Jeremy Renner) and Colonel Weber (Forest Whitaker) to investigate. Louise must learn the language of the aliens to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat to humanity.

Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn), 19, is sent home to Texas to go on a “Victory Tour” of the States after a heroic act in Iraq in Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. However, he becomes disenchanted with how war heroes are treated as the tour goes on. He realizes he doesn’t want to return to Iraq, but is torn about letting down his team and not living up to his image as a hero.

Bleed for This tells the story of Vinny Pazienza (Miles Teller), a five-time world boxing champion nicknamed “The Pazmanian Devil.” In 1991, one month after he won the light middleweight championship title, he broke his neck in a devastating car accident and was told he may never walk again. However, Vinny waged an epic return to boxing.

Television reporter Christine Chubbuck (Rebecca Hall) suffers from self-doubt, leading her to suffer with depression. As her world continues to close in on her, and after an on-air co-worker ends up as yet another unrequited love, Christine decides to take a dark turn and commit suicide on-air in the biographical drama Christine.

When James (Joel Smallbone) loses his wife and custody of his daughter is taken away, he accepts a job hauling cargo across country for cash in Priceless. He doesn’t ask what’s inside the truck, but when he finds out by accident, that knowledge may change the course of his life forever.

Teenager Nadine (Hailee Steinfeld) feels her mother doesn’t understand her and her popular older brother Darian (Blake Jenner) doesn’t care about her in The Edge of Seventeen. When her best friend Krista (Haley Lu Richardson) and Darian begin dating, Nadine feels more alone than ever. When a boy (Hayden Szeto) seems to like Nadine, things might not turn out to be as wretched as she’d feared.

Scooby-Doo and the gang learn that a dude ranch is being haunted by the ghost of an outlaw named Dapper Jack, who turns out to be Shaggy’s (Matthew Lillard) ancestor. Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, Fred and Scooby-Doo start investigating in order to save the ranch before it’s too late.
