New on DVD – Spy, Entourage and more!

spy dvdThere are a number of new DVD releases available today, including Melissa McCarthy‘s huge box office hit Spy, which received amazing reviews from Tribute.ca movie lovers. Also available this week is the movie Entourage, which picks up where the popular TV series left off. Also offered are a horror remake, a thriller and a comedy. And don’t forget, releasing this Friday is the much beloved second Avengers film – Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Spy stars the very funny Melissa McCarthy as a deskbound CIA analyst who suddenly finds herself in the field, operating undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer and prevent a global disaster. Melissa’s co-stars include Jason Statham, Rose ByrneBobby Cannavale, Allison Janney and Jude Law.

Entourage reunites the entire cast from the TV series for a full length movie. In it, we catch up with Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), Eric (Kevin Connolly), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) and Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon). Vince tells newly appointed studio head Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) that he wants to direct and star in a new blockbuster. When the movie goes over budget, the backers, Larsen McCredle (Billy Bob Thornton) and his son, Travis McCredle (Haley Joel Osment), decide they want to see the movie first before they invest any more money.

In the reboot horror movie Poltergeist, strange things begin to happen to a family whose home is built on a Native burial ground. When their daughter is taken by an unseen force, they contact a psychic. Starring Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt.

Return to Sender is a thriller in which a small town nurse (Rosamund Pike) wants revenge on the man who brutally attacked her during a home invasion, and begins communicating with him against her father’s (Nick Nolte) advice.

In the comedy Unexpected, a Chicago high school teacher (Cobie Smulders) forms an unlikely friendship with one of her students after they both unexpectedly become pregnant.

Last but not least, is the DVD and Blu-ray release of the blockbuster hit Avengers: Age of Ultron. In it, the Avengers—Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner)—team up when the fate of the planet is hanging in the balance.
