New on DVD: The Gunman, Get Hard and more

This week coming to Blu-ray and DVD are a few titles that offer variety. There’s a little something for everyone, including Get Hard, The Gunman and While We’re Young.

When extraordinarily successful investment banker James King (Will Ferrell) is arrested on false charges of fraud and embezzlement, he is sentenced to 10 years in a maximum security prison. He’s given 30 days to prepare for his new life in jail. Fearing for his life, he enlists the help of Darnell (Kevin Hart), a man James assumes to be an ex-convict based purely on the fact he’s black. Desperate for money, the law-abiding Darnell agrees to take James’s cash so he can buy a new house for his family. He’ll teach James how to Get Hard. Darnell creates an elaborate training program for James and works to prepare him for the hard life of prison.

James Terrier (Sean Penn) is a retired special forces sniper. In his prime he was one of the best shots in army history. One of the many missions he was sent on in his career was to assassinate the minister of the mines in the Congo. His success in taking out the target results in him being forced into exile for his own safety. Years later, he returns to the Congo and finds himself being targeted by an assassination squad. Based on the novel The Gunman.

Josh (Ben Stiller) and Cornelia (Naomi Watts) are a middle-aged couple in a rut. By chance they meet a young couple, Jamie (Adam Driver) and Darby (Amanda Seyfried), who help them re-discover their youth and revitalize their marriage. While We’re Young gives this couple the chance to be young again and discover who they once were.

Last Knights is the story of Raiden (Clive Owen), a brave warrior out for vengeance after his master, Bartok (Morgan Freeman), is killed at the hands of the ruthless emperor Gezza (Aksel Hennie). Raiden, in his most desperate hour, will build an army and march to take down the corrupt government that rules and to free the people from Gezza’s tyranny.
