If you prefer a reflective drama, you might enjoy Paterson — the story of an aspiring poet and bus driver, or Things to Come, about a teacher whose life changes when her husband leaves her. ~Brenden Zerihun

Fifty Shades Darker – Christian (Jamie Dornan) woos Ana (Dakota Johnson) back, promising her things will be different this time. As they start with a clean slate, Christian’s past begins to come back to haunt him when Ana meets Elena (Kim Basinger), the woman who seduced Christian at a young age. As soon as Elena realizes Christian is in love with Ana, she tries to put an end to their relationship.

Paterson – Paterson (Adam Driver) is a bus driver from the city of Paterson, New Jersey. Every day, he wakes up to a regular routine: he drives his daily route, he writes poetry into a notebook, he stops at a bar and has a beer, then goes home to his wife, Laura. Laura encourages Paterson to turn the poetry he writes into country songs, so she can follow her dream of being a country singer.

Things to Come – Philosophy teacher Nathalie (Isabelle Huppert) is passionate about her job, but when her husband leaves her for another woman, her life becomes chaos. With freedom thrust upon her, Nathalie must find a way to reinvent herself. She finds companionship through one of her former students.

Private Eyes: Season One – Crime series Private Eyes tells the story of former pro hockey player Matt Shade (Jason Priestley), whose life changes when he decides to team up with fierce P.I. Angie Everett to form an unlikely investigative powerhouse. Through their new partnership, Shade is forced to examine who he has become and who he wants to be.
