Nicole Kidman father dies in accident

Nicole Kidman’s father, Dr. Antony Kidman, has passed away in what is thought to have been an accident in Singapore while he was visiting the actress’ sister Antonia Kidman. According to several reports, Antony – Director of the UTS Health and Psychology Unit at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital – died after he suffered injuries in a fall. Earlier this year, Nicole, 46, walked alongside her father at the Swisse Celebrate Life Ball in Melbourne, Australia.
She previously praised her dad – who as awarded an Order of Australia in 2005 for his contribution to health services – for being there for her whenever she needed him and admitted he encouraged her at every opportunity.
She said: ”He’s a great father, I can call him at three in the morning and he’s there for me. By the time I was a teenager, I had developed skills as a writer, and my father encouraged me to think about a career in journalism. I began keeping a diary, which I maintain to this day. I used to fill whole notebooks with my writings. My parents thought it was nice to develop my imagination, but they never seriously thought that anything would ever come of it.”
Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital has not commented on his reported passing.
