Nicole Kidman is radiant at red carpet event for Lion

Lion may deal with heavy subject matter, but that doesn’t mean its stars can’t light up a red carpet.

Last night at the Princess of Wales Theatre, the actors in the film looked sharp as they greeted fans and snapped selfies with eager onlookers before their movie had its world premiere.

Nicole Kidman wore a dazzling, figure-hugging sequin gown with glitzy heels to the event, while her costar Rooney Mara donned a beautiful red Yacine Aouadi dress with Louboutin shoes.

Not to be outshone by the leading ladies, Dev Patel also turned heads as he walked the red carpet looking dapper. The film’s supporting cast was in attendance too, including Pallavi Sharda, Tannishtha Chatterjee and David Wenham, as well as director Garth Davis.

The film is based on the true story of Saroo Brierley, who was separated from his family in India as a child, adopted by an Australian couple, and then attempted to reconnect with his loved ones 25 years later.

Now that it’s had its world premiere and critics are responding favorably, keep your eyes out for Lion as awards season heat up.
