Nicole Scherzinger axed from X Factor

By Alexandra Heilbron on January 31, 2012 | 9 Comments

Nicole Scherzinger has been given the boot from the singing competition show, The X Factor. The former Pussycat Dolls singer replaced British singer Cheryl Cole at the beginning of the season in a controversial move that had many of Cole’s fans irate. However, it was announced today that not only will Nicole not be back for the second season of The X Factor, but Fox has confirmed that Welsh host Steve Jones will also not be returning. According to Deadline.com, Paula Abdul may also have been cut from the show. An insider apparently told the site “Abdul will not be returning as a judge next season.” The source went on to say that despite reports saying Scherzinger stepped down because she wanted to focus on her music career, neither Jones, Scherzinger nor Abdul left the show of their own accord. That would mean the only returning judges would be Simon Cowell, whose contestant Melanie Amaro won the competition, and music producer L.A. Reid.

God they need to get rid of this. American Idol is HORRIBLE and X Factor is even worse. Just end them both and let NBC get more viewers. Team The Voice!

Well Winning, The Voice is better because its not a a copy cat or rigged. American Idol is pretty much rigged, and I watched X Factor for a bit and it just seemed like a cheap rip off, with the only original part being a 5 million grand prize and the judges picked the songs. The Voice, however, isn’t about who the hottest guy is or how a pretty a girl is. Its about how good your voice is. Plus, they pre audition the contenders, unlike the other 2 which let all the horrible singers go on camera and make a fool out of themselves. Yes I know, without that then we wouldnt have that asian guy who sang She Bangs, but if I had to choose one of them to stay on the air, Ill go with the Voice anyday of the week.

It’s still jsut another singing show. How do you know that they don’t judge based on looks and only singing?
