After two triumphant weeks back at number one, Guardians of the Galaxy, still holding a solid 4.3 Tribute user rating, dropped to number three at the box office in its seventh week, making just over $8 million over the weekend, bringing its overall domestic gross to a whopping $306 million. The box office powerhouse was surpassed by two new films, Taraji P. Henson‘s new thriller No Good Deed, which topped the box office with over $24 million and a 2.8 Tribute user rating, and family flick Dolphin Tale 2, in second with over $16 million, and an impressive 4.4 Tribute user rating.
Hot on Guardians‘ heels is the action-packed, ’90s nostalgia flick Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which brought in $4.8 million in fourth place in its sixth week at the box office, holding a 4.3 Tribute user rating.
Rounding out the top five was Let’s Be Cops (3.9 Tribute user rating), starring Damon Wayans Jr. and Jake Johnson, bringing in a modest $4.3 million in its fifth week, followed closely by The Drop, starring Tom Hardy and the late James Gandolfini, with an impressive limited release showing of $4.2 million, and currently standing at a perfect 5 Tribute user rating. ~Kelly Townsend
