Liam Payne, 20, of the boy band One Direction stood on the ledge of a 34-story skyscraper and had a friend take his photograph. He then posted the photo to his Twitter feed Tuesday, but when fans berated him for doing something so dangerous, he took it down. One fan wrote: “@Real_Liam_Payne don’t do this to me. I was worried about your safety! What if you feel off? tell me you had a rope.” The photo was also published in the British newspaper The Sun yesterday. Later that day, the singer released a statement urging his fans not to imitate his “extremely dangerous” behavior, adding, “”You may have seen a photo of me today taken on top of a building. I regret being there and having a photo taken. It was a stupid and irresponsible thing to do.”
