Philip Seymour Hoffman Philip Seymour Hoffman's apartment contained 50 separate packets of heroin. The actor was found dead with a needle still in his arm on Sunday, and police have recovered numerous packets filled with heroin and more than 20 used hypodermic needles from the property. Many of the bags were stamped "Ace of Spades" or "Ace of Hearts," which users say is heroin cut with a powerful pain reliever called fentanyl. Other items recovered from the property include a charred spoon and five different medications for which police suspect the Capote star didn't have prescriptions. Philip was found unconscious at around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday by his friend David Bar Katz, who called for assistance. David had gone to check on the actor after he failed to pick up his children Tallulah, seven, Cooper, ten and Willa, five. His children live close by with their mother, Philip's estranged partner Mimi O'Donnell.

What a waste of such immense talent!

He was a great actor, and I appreciate the struggles of addiction, but I am having a tough time feeling bad for someone who hoarded so much heroine.

Movie star. Millions of dollars. Children. All that and he still turned to drugs. Ungrateful ass. I may not be a movie star, I may not have millions of dollars and I don’t have children but at least I don’t need drugs to enjoy life. I am grateful for every little thing I have. Nobody should mourn this piece of shit.

Addiction is rarely a choice Chris….he could have been flipping burgers and have the same struggles with drug abuse. He just had the ability to pay….it did cost him his life.

I’m probably not the only one who’s getting this vibe, but I just can’t shake the feeling that this was a set-up. Him being a recovered heroin addict and having three kids who were so close by, I just can’t quite believe he would fall off the wagon so dramatically of his own free-will. Especially after what heroin addicts go through in order to break the addiction. From what I understand, it is quite a painful process.
