Plot to murder singer Joss Stone foiled

Two men have been arrested in connection with a plot to kidnap and murder 24-year-old British singer Joss Stone. Police were called by one of Stone’s neighbors in Cullompton, southwest England, who reported two men acting suspiciously. When the men were stopped near Stone’s rural home on Monday morning, they were found to have rope, swords, a body bag and detailed maps of the singer’s property in their car. Investigators confirmed this morning that the two men are being held for “conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to murder.” Stone’s publicists wouldn’t say whether the singer was home when the men were arrested, but said she’s aware of the arrests and is in contact with police.  Devon and Cornwall Police Detective Inspector Steve Parker said in a statement: “The men had information and items that lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offence. We’re unable to say anymore at this time but I would like to thank the local residents for reporting the suspicious car. It’s important to stress that no properties have been burgled and no individuals have been harmed.” Joss, who has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, is a friend of Prince William’s and was a guest at his wedding.

I guess they don’t like her music. If they wanted to rob her, why not wait until she’s gone and rob her, why kidnap and kill her? Something’s weird with the whole thing.

That’s really scary. They must be really sick to plot something like that.
