Rapper Heavy D dies

It’s a sad day for the hip-hop world, and for fans, as rapper Heavy D passed away. The 44-year-old star who shot to fame with his 1991 hit Now That We Found Love and appeared in several movies, was reportedly rushed to a hospital after a 911 call was made from his Beverly Hills home. Officials are saying that no foul play is suspected, but they are investigating the death.
Born Dwight Arrington Myers, Heavy D was a pioneer in the rap world starting out his career in the 80s with his group Heavy D & the Boyz. He had just performed at two special events last month: the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales with La Toya Jackson and the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta. He also has a minor role in the new Eddie Murphy comedy Tower Heist.
His last note on twitter read: “Be Inspired! Never stop believing.. Magic is just science we don’t understand.. Every original idea was considered insanity at first,” he wrote on Nov. 4. Jennifer Lopez, MC Hammer, Diddy, LaToya Jackson, Brandy and Shaquille O’Neal are among those who have posted notes of remembrance about Heavy D on their Twitter pages. He is survived by a daughter, Xea.

Just because some Hip Hop Artist make Hip Hop seem bad doesn’t mean all Rappers are about Guns, Drugs, Money, Hoes etc. Heavy D was a good cat and made fun Hip Hop that People could party too and your Parents could listen to. My condolences to Heavy D’s Family, Friends and Fans. And yes I’m one of them. My friend Eva bought me his Tape “BIG TYME” back in 1989 that’s how I got introduced to his Music. RIP HEAVY D and RIP TROUBLE T TROY (He was one of Heavy D’s back up Dancers that passed away a long time ago)

I’m sorry to hear that. I just saw him in Tower Heist! Best of everything to his Family, Friends and Fans!! I never knew who he was in the movie and I keep up to speed who singers are as well. But you can’t hear of everyone. He will rest in Peace(RIP) now.
