Richard Gere splits from wife Carey Lowell

Pretty Woman actor Richard Gere, 64, and his wife of 11 years Carey Lowell, 52, who have a 13-year-old son, Homer, are getting a divorce. The actor and his wife have not been photographed together in over a year since the premiere of his movie, Arbitrage. A source told the New York Post newspaper, “They’ve been spending time apart for quite some time.” It is unclear why they have separated but another source claims it’s due to their different lifestyles. Richard takes on a quiet Buddhist lifestyle, whereas Carey, a model/actress, likes to socialize with other Hollywood stars. It is unclear when they will be filing for divorce. The couple has several properties. Richard enjoys spending time in their Bedford home, which is quiet and far away from other people while Carey likes their manor in North Haven, closer to the limelight. This is not the first divorce for either one. Richard was previously married to model Cindy Crawford for four years. Carey has been in two past marriages, one that lasted four years to photographer John Stember and another to actor Griffin Dunne for six years. ~Brie Davis

NOOOOOOOOO! I really though they would make it. KIDDING!! I don’t give a rat’s ass.
My goodness, at least he isn’t out running around on her regardless of NO shortage of women for him!! So many women would LOVE to have a stay at home good looking fellah like Richard instead of one out womanizing constantly.
Anyway – nobody’s business what the details are behind the divorce. Some things should just be private. Richard is obviously a private man – give him that at least.
Sad….thought they would make it.
