Robert Pattinson saved by fans during rude interview

By Tribute on August 17, 2012 | 4 Comments

In the wake of the Kristen Stewart-Rupert Sanders cheating scandal, Robert Pattinson has finally emerged into the public eye. This week, he’s attended a string of interviews and has managed to avoid questions about his personal life. However, when Pattinson and Cosmopolis director David Cronenberg sat down with New York Times journalist David Carr to discuss the film, things got a little personal when Carr brought up Pattinson’s relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart and likened their relationship to that of Britain’s Prince Charles and Lady Diana’s. Unfortunately, the audience was not amused. The question was met with a chorus of boos. Pattinson, seemingly embarrassed, responded by saying, “I wouldn’t go that far.” Luckily for the 26-year-old actor, an audience member shouted, “Next question!” seconds later, saving him from the awkward situation. Cosmopolis is now in theaters. ~Isabelle Khoo

Fans…especially “Twi-hards” are usually rude and obnoxious but this was positive to read. Especially the one yelling “next question”, It’s bad enough when your cousins grill you about your freshly ended relationship at a family gathering but strangers? That’s rude.
