Rogue One: A Star Wars Story blasts away in this week’s new trailers

Rogue One A Star Wars Story movie posterFelicity Jones stars as Jyn Erso in the highly-anticipated Star Wars reboot Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which released its action-packed second trailer this week, sending fans into a tizzy of anticipation for its December release.

The epic teaser trailer for Power Rangers stormed the web this week, featuring five talented newcomers — Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, and Ludi Lin — slipping into the colorful suits of the superhuman crime fighters.

If you’ve missed Keanu Reeves as the legendary hitman called back into duty, then John Wick: Chapter 2 and its thrilling teaser trailer will be sure to satisfy your withdrawal. While all of these sound pretty cool, there are more even trailers to watch! ~Shelby Morton

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: When cunning survivor Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) is arrested by the Rebel Alliance, she is asked by Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) to retrieve information about the Death Star — a nearly-constructed weapon with the power to destroy an entire planet, and make the Empire unstoppable. It’s up to Jyn, Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), and their pragmatic droid K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) to form the Rogue One squadron and help bring peace to the galaxy by stealing a technical readout of the Death Star.

Power Rangers: The 1990s featured the rise of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a television program about a group of spandex-laced teenagers with special powers. Capable of harnessing t heir extraordinary skills, the crew morphed into masked ninjas ready to combat monsters. The pink, yellow, blue, black and red rangers take center stage in the film adaptation of the story, which also stars Elizabeth Banks as the film’s villain, Rita Repulsa.

John Wick: Chapter 2: In a sequel to 2014’s John Wick, Keanu Reeves returns in the title role as the former hitman pulled out of retirement. The story tracks John’s life since the first film and explores the identity crisis he finds himself in: is he John, the family man who’s mourning the death of his wife, or John Wick, the ruthless international assassin?

The Great Wall: Adapted from the short story by Franz Kafka, the epic action thriller The Great Wall stars Matt Damon as William Garin, the leader of an elite force tasked with saving all of humanity amid the construction of the world’s most iconic structure — The Great Wall of China.   

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter: Immediately after the events of Resident Evil: Retribution, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter sees humanity on the brink of extinction after Alice (Milla Jovovich) is betrayed by Wesker (Shawn Roberts) in Washington, D.C. Alice must travel to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing a final strike to eliminate all remaining survivors of the apocalypse. In a final stand, Alice must join forces with an unlikely ally to save humanity and defeat the hordes of the undead once and for all.

Underworld: Blood Wars: In Underworld: Blood Warsthe fifth installment of the Underworld franchise, Kate Beckinsale returns as Selene while the war between Vampires and Lycans rages on. With her loved ones dead after being hunted down by enemies, Selene’s involvement in the war is personal. She finds an ally in David (Theo James), as he informs Selene that the new leader of the Lycan clan, Marius, is leading the clan in pursuit of Selene. In their fiendish plot, they plan to use her blood to make them invincible to the vampires and their Death Dealers.
