Saw 3D slashes box office records

Saw 3D, the final installment of the horror series, earned an estimated $24.2 million (all figures U.S.) at the North American box office, making it the No. 1 movie during Halloween weekend. Tribute users rated it 4 out of 5 stars. The film earned 30 percent more than any other film from the highly successful franchise and is the only film to have spawned a sequel every year for seven consecutive years. Paranormal Activity 2 dropped to second place, earning an additional $16.5 million and a Tribute Viewer rating of 3.5 stars. The crime thriller RED stayed at third place for the second weekend in a row, taking in $15 million in its third weekend and a Tribute Viewer Rating of 4.3 stars. Jackass 3D moved to fourth place with $8.4 million and a Tribute Viewer Rating of 3.8 stars.  Clint Eastwood‘s Hereafter rounded out the top five with $6.32 million. Tribute viewers gave it 3.7 out of 5 stars. Canadian box office results will be posted this afternoon.

    I LOVE SAW!!
    They were the BEST movies ever!!!!!!!
    I would love it if they kept going!!

    Saw was the best movie franchise out there, been a fan since number one and have loved going to the movies for the past 7 years to see them.
    Sad it came to an end, but it was the perfect way to end it like they did.
