Scream VI is the new champion at the weekend box office

Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera in Scream VITwo new movies landed in the top five at the box office, including Scream VI, which knocked Creed III from its number one spot. Have a look at which films made the most money this weekend.

Scream VI starring Jenna Ortega debuted at the top of the weekend box office with earnings of $44.5 million.

Creed III, directed by and starring Michael B. Jordan, dropped a spot to second, earning an additional $27.2 million for an impressive two-week total of $101.4 million.

The space thriller 65 starring Adam Driver as a stranded astronaut debuted in fourth with $12.3 million.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania starring Paul Rudd dropped two spots from last weekend to wind up in fourth. The popular Marvel movie took in an additional $7 million for an impressive four-week total take of $198 million. Rounding out the top spot was the comedy/thriller Cocaine Bear, which earned an extra $6.2 million for a three-week total of $51.7 million. ~Alexandra Heilbron
