Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara to play lovers

Actresses Sharon Stone, 54, and Sofia Vergara, 39, will be playing the roles of bisexual lovers in John Turturro’s new comedy Fading Gigolo. Turturro will also star in the film as a man who, in desperate need of cash, decides to go into the gigolo business with his best friend as his pimp, played by Woody Allen. Stone will play the escorts’ customer and Vergara will be a client interested in a ménage à trois with Stone and Turturro’s characters. “Sharon thinks it’s going to be a lot of fun playing the lover of one of the hottest actresses out there. The scenes will be steamy,” a source told Life & Style magazine. This isn’t the first time Stone will be taking on a lesbian role. She played a seductive bisexual sociopath in the 1992 Oscar-nominated thriller Basic Instinct. Filming of Fading Gigolo is expected to start in New York in April and the film’s release is scheduled for 2013. ~Renita Naraine
