Shia LaBeouf stars in powerful new Sia video – watch!

Shia LaBeouf has teamed up with Australian singer/songwriter Sia and the little girl who dances in the pop star’s earlier music video, Chandelier, for her new song, Elastic Heart. The video was released on YouTube on Sia’s channel, SiaVEVO, on Wednesday.
Maddie Ziegler, 12, from Dance Moms is Shia’s co-star in the piece and she puts in another incredible performance. Shia plays his part with incredible emotion. Watch the video – it’s strange, but moving and the dancing is unbelievable to watch, you won’t want to take your eyes off the screen even for a moment.
What do you think it means? Some are saying on YouTube that Maddie is playing a young Sia, who is trapped with her father in his destructive life and tries desperately to get him out even though she feels anger towards him. Another interpretation is that the cage stands for child stardom, which Shia can’t escape, but because of her age, there’s still hope for Maddie. Tell us your thoughts below. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Absolutely gut-wrenching and hauntingly beautiful! Speaks to me of father child relationships gone wrong, but never really broken despite the intense pain and anger. Expresses the love and hope that survives despite the darkness of our inherent frailties. Incredible duo…bravo!!!

I think the costumes are minimalistic so that you focus on the performances and not on the costumes. What they’re wearing didn’t bother me at all and both of them are so expressive, I’m really impressed, this is the first performance by Shia that I’ve enjoyed in a long time and the girl is a superstar when it comes to acting and dancing, I never heard of her before but I hope to see her in other things soon.
