Julia Sweeney – If It’s Not One Thing, It’s Your Mother
Writer, actress and comedian Julia Sweeney is best known for her four seasons on Saturday Night Live (1990-1994), especially her famous character, the androgynous “Pat.” She is also known for her critically-acclaimed one woman monologues: “God Said, Ha!” and “Letting Go of God.” Julia’s latest effort is a heartfelt and funny new book, “If It’s Not One Thing, It’s Your Mother,” available in stores across the country on April 2nd.
It’s a unique parenting book in which Sweeney shares her personal story of deciding to adopt as a single woman, discusses her relationship with her own mother, and recounts her adventures of her search for the perfect husband. As if Julia isn’t busy enough, we will hear her voice this summer in Monsters University as Mrs. Squiggles. She is currently at work on her next book as well as the screenplay for her first directorial debut effort, a feature film entitled Fork.
Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer Krebs spoke with Julia in Los Angeles about her new book.

Was on SNL, published a book (soon to be two) and have it turned into a film as well as voice in a popular Pixar movie… this woman has got it good! Congrats, on her success.
It’s just a wild guess, but I bet her book
advises parents not to force the ‘family faith’
on their kids.
